I thought GRID was fun. With all the aids off, it's not as arcady as many people thing. It's no GTR ofcourse.

Dirt was fun as well, although a bit harsh on the videocard. Looked good, just like GRID still looks good, although it's 2 years old? I can't wait for DIRT 2, dx11 or not. The fact I will have dx11 gpu's by then is pretty exiting as well though :)

This may hurt the launch for both companies. It would be a shame if they were ready to go and TSMC delayed both companies until next year.

I don't know if NVIDIA has any plans for production over at UMC and it does not sound like ATI is going to use GF so I guess we will have to wait and see how this shakes out.

It may turn out to be "limited quantities" this year.

On a side note, DX10 was a failure, hopefully DX11 will be more like DX9 at least in terms of success and adoption.

They have 40 nm DX10.1 chips in production, but as far as I know, the DX11 hardware hasn't reached the production stage yet.

Isn't GT300 DX11? http://www.brightsideofnews.co...elds-are-sub-3025.aspx

...of course this is just a rumor, but so is everything else...

GT300 is supposed to be DX11 yes (although, it's actually a Tesla chip, so no video at all, but the architecture is the same).
However, if I understand that article right, these are figures of early test-batches. It's not in full production yet.
You don't design a chip and mass-produce it right away. You make a first design, then you have some samples made, then you need to validate those samples to see if the chip works as expected... and then you'll tweak the design for mass-production. Then you go through a number of iterations of this process, depending on how good your initial design was, and what your end goal is.
As far as I know, nVidia still has some ways to go before their DX11 parts go into mass-production. Especially if this article is right.
