Why would that game be so CPU bound on that level of graphics cards? I think it's something else besides better use of the CPU that's causing the performance difference.

The benchmark was run at 720p, which is why it's so CPU bound.

Obviously the DX11 MT is playing a role there..

Obviously? Really? It's that easy to reverse engineer code?

I have a business proposition for you then, since you seem to have sick skills. I'm going to link you to Windows 8 vs Windows 7 benchmarks here. If you can reverse engineer Windows 8 source code using these benchmarks and PM it to me, I will give you ten million dollars.

Gimme a heads up if you need a video of Windows 8 and 7 running side y side to help in you gain insights into the secrets of Microsoft's proprietary, closed-source codebase.

Remember, there's ten million dollars in it for you. You shouldn't waste your skills arguing over video cards on a forum when you could be a millionaire. Don't let this chance slip by you. ;)

So you are assuming it's CPU bound? That means that a 290X is going to only get in the 30's FPS @ 720p? Because if it's CPU bound it won't matter how much GPU power you throw at it, it won't help. Come on, really?

Why don't we start with the 660 DCII being ~25% faster than a 7850 to begin with and AMD not having optimized drivers for the game? That would make more sense to me.
