could be debated. what cant be is that canon is at 16mp while foveon is still at 3 (output). in this case, MP matters.

Yep, if you count photodetector locations, but the X3 tech puts 3 colors in each pixel "spot" on the chip.

Oh well, the only thing that matters in the end is ultimate image quality at the desired image size.

considering that the foveon 3mp output is roughly equivilent to a 6mp beyer type output, they are still behind baring any anouncement from them anytime soon.

I find it funny it has only usb 1.1 support

most people use card readers anyway, they are faster and dont drain the battery

its got fire wire tho

I know, but in the comparison chart with the 1ds, under that section...the only difference is that the Mark II has usb 1.1 support. Yay? lol, should be 2.0 or no usb.

Thats not the point anubis, usb 1.1 is half ass....they should have just left it out completely.

You can use USB 1.1, Firewire, external Card reader OR the Wireless transmitter. Who cares which USB interface they use, I'd be using firewire anyway.

I have been asking for this for years!

Bought time that do it...

Now they just need to incorporate the antenna into the body.

This article (2000) says that no pixels could be on 8 feet x 4 feet prints taken with a foveon based camera. It says that the foveon is 16MP.
