could be debated. what cant be is that canon is at 16mp while foveon is still at 3 (output). in this case, MP matters.
Oh well, the only thing that matters in the end is ultimate image quality at the desired image size.
This article (2000) says that no pixels could be on 8 feet x 4 feet prints taken with a foveon based camera. It says that the foveon is 16MP.
