Hey all, (new issue...please look at bottom post)
I have a Samsung 900NF tied to an ATI 9700 Pro. The res is 1600 x 1200 at 85hz. Unfortunately, the monitor displays some sort of strange flickering/shimmering. It simply started spontaneously.
I have tried using a DVI adapter, as well as turning off DDC in the video settings. In addition, I have both updated drivers and done a reformat, all to no avail.
I posted about this problem about two months ago. After some helpful hints from AT members, I thought the interference might have something to do with my room/dirty power connection etc. Since then, I have moved to a new apartment (for different reasons
), but the problem remains. One thing I have noticed since then is that ATI Smartgart refuses to leave Fastwrite 'On', and leaves AGP settings on "off". Could my video card be having problems? Has anyone else had similar probems? Perhaps my PS is having problems?
Only when I turn the refresh rate to 60hz does the problem go away. Of course, that introduces a different problem...
Maybe I should try BNC connectors? Any thoughts?
