Ok Correction tomyself. What he said is not entirely correct.

Nissan Corporation has always been nissan. When they decided to move their market to USA, they wanted to release it under a new name. Datsun was born. They released cars such as the datsun 510 and stuff, then later, had the 240zs 260zs 280zs with inline 6's. About the time that they came out with the sentra , the SXs, they decided to kill off the datsun name and all that godo stuff..
