so you got a bad unit and now the company sucks?

hmmm quality posts like this got you to 16000 posts huh 😛

When you can't refute a point, make comments like the above. Good job Sonz :cookie:

It was already refuted earlier, read the thread before posting lil comments like yours.

I did read all posts up to that one. You're basically whining because you have a defective product that is under waranty while barely managing to do so without looking like a fool.

Apple warranty does not cover its use if it is in your pocket. The warranty is a joke, if you had ever read the warranty before assuming what it was, you would understand this, The fact you make assumptions out of your ass, without really bothering to do any research shows you are just a troll.

Have you even bothered to take it back or send it in for a replacment?

BTW apple warranties covers tons of shiznit. I had to send in my Ipod 15gb 2 times before I got a working one. I guess that shows that their products can crap out easily but at least their warranty covered it just fine.

At least try to get it fixed/replaced before you start crying.

Called them earlier and they say they couldn't help because I voided the warranty by having it in my pocket when I worked out 😕.

I'll try the mac store after work

So you'll suck some old guy's dick, but you won't let Apple, Inc. fvck you in the ass? I don't get it.

Ok guys, I seem to remember a post by the mods saying personal attacks where not allowed so why don't you all play nice. I'm sorry if Sonz70 supposed behaiver insults you so deeply. Just the fact that what someone says on an internet forum could affect you so is quite disturbing and I wonder what you are like in real life. I'm not defending anything, just trying to figure out why people are getting so annoyed.

As for the topic at hand, I have never been a big fan of the shuffle. The regular ipod is ok, but the shuffle always seemed overpriced for it's features. I personally like the creative MUVO TX models, but maybe thats just me.

Oh, and for many, many years Mac did = Apple to most people, and thats still the way with lots so calm down.

My humor is wasted on this forum.

Your humor is fine because you used the 😉. The others seem genuinly offended

in my experience almost all major mp3 manufacturers have problems. they all cut corners to skimp on costs, yet still charge ridiculous amounts of money.

gurck is gone. who knows where he went. 😛

anyway, doesn't the shuffle have a HARD DRIVE in it? maybe it's ... uh, BAD?

Pretty sure it uses flash memory. Regardless, I don't think bad storage would cause the symptoms the OP is experiencing, I'm guessing it's a bad connection somewhere.

this is very true. Like creative and the defective headphones jack on their Zen Micro's. (I have the touch and it works great). I figure if it lasts at least a year then I probably got good use out of it.

ok, i may be wrong, but i always thought Apple was one company and Macintosh was another, but they merged quite early on, then lost the Macintosh as part of the listed name, but then use the Mac as the name for their computers?
like i say, i may be wrong, but im sure i remember that from many moons ago, if im wrong you can simply say so, dont get testy about it..heh

as for the iPod shuffle, why buy one when you can get a Creative MuVo for similar price thats already known for being an excellent walkabouty type player....i've own 3 incarnations of it and always been happy (1st one was just too small on memory so i sold it to my sister, 2nd one i broke myself..heh....3rd one is currently still being used).....
i personally prefer the sound from the Muvos to the iPods.....the only reason iPod became so popular was a clever marketing campaign, there really isnt that much to discern most HD using portable devices from each other quality wise....except for the obviously sh!te ones...lol

also, as someone stated here and i've stated elsewhere, all companies have problems with units, so dont slate the entire company.....slate the development arm for that device if you have to.......altho if they get enough complaints i do believe they should extend the warranty on that device to include things it doesnt to repair/replace the item (i would imagine it costs less usually to replace it than repair it due to labour, the parts are fitted by relatively low skilled assemblers, but to repair requires a skilled technician to find the fault and deal with it)

well, i could go on, but its hometime, hurrah...heh....happy weekend folks, catch you on the morrow ;-)

In all seriousness, this happened to my regular iPod and shortly after the HD died.

If the shuffles have a self-test, you might run that, but I doubt it since there is no screen.

Chcek out ipodlounge, I'm sure you're not alone.

It was a quality post, he nailed the situation dead on

by insulting the fact I insulted the company, rather than even notice the original problem, yeah, that nailed the situation right on! Good job

Well the warranty specifically says this:
This warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, or non-Apple products; (b) to damage caused by service performed by anyone other than Apple; (c) to a product or a part that has been modified without the written permission of Apple; or (d) if any Apple serial number has been removed or defaced.

Now, if they determined the destruction was caused by the user, it's understandable that they would not just replace every unit that was handled by some moron. However, for it to just stop working while you're working out, and they won't replace it, that is pretty dumb.

BTW, you did not mention in previous posts that you went to the store to get it replaced. How was I supposed to know what some guy at the Apple store told you when you never said so in the first place. You just came into this thread whining.
