The haters in this thread have upped the national hate advisory level to 'palpable' :awe:

He also gets a chauffeur. That's pimp. If I were that rich, I wouldn't drive anywhere on public roads either. Maybe occasionally race some cars around a private track. But I'm just that lazy. And I hate traffic.

If I had that kind of money, I would absolutely do the same thing. If someone has a problem with this, I don't really understand it. It's definitely stupid to buy a 16-year-old a supercar that he's bound to total (if not end up dead) in a moment of teenage reckless abandon. Luxusry chauffeur-driven car? That's classy.

I'm guessing you don't know what a Maybach is :p
Guessed wrong :)
Lolz dont be a hater. Most end up wrecking in their underpowered civics, it's just more new worthy to hear about little Jimmy wrapping his Aston Martin around a telephone pole at 100+.
Stop it. You know. Ok, you probably don't. The rest of us know that teenagers suck ass at driving and are more likely to get into trouble in a powerful car than a slow one.
The only evidence we have as to his character is that he donated his other present (10k cash) to the Haiti recovery efforts.
This is no indication of character at all. "Here son, here's $300k and also a $10k check you should give to a charity so that we can pretend we give a crap."
Rich people tend to have bigger problems.
Biggie knew that!
If I were that rich, I wouldn't drive anywhere on public roads either.
I would, but in the Knight XV SUV from Canada.

They still aren't slow cars.

I know, the point is that fast != performance

If you want to go fast, you don't buy a 6000lb car to do it in. That's like buying a Toyota Tundra with 400HP and saying it's a performance vehicle.

The '09 Maybach 62s has 604 HP, so even though it weighs twice as much it will out accelerate a Corvette. The Maybachalso has MUCH better brakes, and will stop faster than the 'Vette.

You are probably expecting the 'Vette to obliterate the Maybach in the slalom, but it is actually very close, dispite the Maybach weighing in at 3000 lbs more than the 'Vette. The speeds are 62.4mph and 60.4 respectively.

You need to learn that 3000 lbs of luxury can be negated by a good suspension. Welcome to engineering.

No, I know exactly what the car is and what it can do, there's a reason it costs what it does :) My point is, when was the last time you saw a Maybach / Bentley / Rolls (none of which are short on power) wrapped around a telephone pole like the continually surfacing pics of 110 mph smashed Lamborghinis. I'm not saying this car won't be dangerous in a 16 year old's hands, but it's definitely a more sane alternative to buying the kid an LP-640.

This is an example of dumb people getting rich, while us smart people get held back :\

actually P. diddy is rather smart. he has successful record company, clothing, mens cologne, etc.

his "music" plays just part of his income.

The guy became rich for shouting rhymes over synthesized drum tracks. When you have money, you can just say things like "I feel like making a clothing line today", and you have assistants that do all the work for you.

I'm pretty positive that any involvement he had with any product with his name on it involved was limited to someone walking in and saying "Hey...which one of these shirts you want us to sell?"

It's a pretty easy system to game for mega-millions.

Let us know when you're tracks are going to drop.

At this point in his career, yes that's probably the extent of his involvement in these ventures.

I think he started his career promoting parties. I think he's actually a smart business man.

At some point it begs the question, 'how many millions does a black guy have to make before he's no longer considered a stupid ni***r.'

(even if he's still a douchebag :p)

I'm lost as to how you draw a parallel between the fact that many rappers are shot and racism.

Maybe it says something deeper about your preconceived racist tendencies? :)

Yeah I was wondering this too. Black, white, brown, orange or whatever, rappers are notorious for getting involved gun fights and drive-bys. Because they talk shit in their songs about each other. The kid could very well end up getting waxed if Puffy pissed off the wrong assholes. There's nothing racist about that.

LOL what? Rappers are not notorious for getting involved in gun fights and drive bys. Have some? Sure, and there are rock stars who have shot people too. The media is notorious for hyping and making shit up. Like when Jam Master Jay from Run DMC was shot and killed. CNN said "gangster rapper Jam Master Jay was shot in the head" only problem, he wasn't a gangster, and never rapped once.

I don't listen to Diddy's music, but I know he's about as far from a gangster as you can get. He raps about being rich and being famous. And he makes club music not thug music. Yeah a lot of rappers do talk shit, but the vast majority leave it there and never actually shoot anyone. Remember for every story you hear on the news about a rapper in trouble, there are a thousand who haven't done shit. Tommy Lee is more violent than all but a few rappers...

I can see why Pdiddy wears sunglasses all the time. When he removes his glasses he's got some of the ugliest eyes I've seen.
