we never have christmas parties. This year, wife's company is only inviting the higher ups (plus her and her boss since they're the more important people being the IT dept.) 😀

my UNION Christmas party, however, is tonight 😉

Hope you get a gift that = your union dues 😀
bahahha. i don't even know what i pay in union dues 0_0

Our district is rather small..there's only five couples attending our party. We are having it at my bosses house, he's hosting us and ordered some caterers. I don't think I've ever been to a party this small.

No, but I guess the food was so bad, they are asking for money back (9k for about 400 people). I had to work that night, so I guess I was spared raw steak and cold broiled lobster tails.

My firms holiday "party" has always been pretty low-key (small firm, everyone goes out to lunch at semi-nice local restaurant), so no canceling for downgraded for us.

i'm all done the work parties. union party was Friday... got completely sh*tfaced. epic night. Monday night I had my departmental Xmas gathering with our small group of 14. much more low key even though the company put us up in a nice hotel for the night. had some tasty prime rib @ The Keg on the company dime 🙂

Ours got downgraded from a catered affair at the owner's house, to a potluck in our conference room. We still get to close at noon and the beer is still free though.

It went from a super awesome high class dinner at a private place but this year, we're having a brunch with no open bar. Oh well, its better the nothing!

got word earlier in the week that our holiday party is canceled and that everyone will be getting a flat bonus instead -- whether that's in addition to the usual x-mas bonus or in place of, idk. hopefully it's in addition to, because it's about half or what my personal bonus was last year 🙁
