Yeah, officially it did, but in my district, we're still having a dinner party at the Pyramid brewery. We're like the 2nd district in the nation in terms of profitibility though.

Not canceled. We never have one anyway. :p

But I did just get my bonus today. Probably won't be getting one next year though.

Ours isn't, but only because we probably couldn't get refunds on the rental hall.

Cancelled about 10 years ago. It's a central office for people that work over a wide area and can have long drives to and from the party. They nuked the party over drunk driving concerns. The office staff still have a small, alcohol-free party, but it's about the size and festivity of the average office birthday party. Everyone goes for 15 minutes, then leaves.

Cancelled, which is a shame because it was actually going to be cool this year (we were going to have it at the museum of art).

I'm not really part of the company I'm with, but I saw a reminder/RSVP for the children's Christmas party this week. The 'adult' one sounds like it happened or is happening too.

The client party is completely on and there appear to be no cuts anywhere.

Not cancelled, but I am skipping it because I have an interview that afternoon.
Will be attending my wife's however. She won a free room at the hotel for that night so it should be a good time.

I typically don't bother to go, but I haven't noticed any announcements yet, they must be doing some thing in house this year.

I don't believe so, even though the plant I worked at was slated to close on 11/30. It was supposed to be one last get together so that everybody can say goodbye. In some ways I'm not looking forward to it.

Our party went from renting a downtown club last year (That a lot of people skipped because going to a club really isn't most people's idea of a good time) to a "party" with "heavy appetizers" at work on a Sunday evening.

Thanks, but no thanks. Would rather not spend 4 hours at work and not get paid for it.

Can't cancel something that was never scheduled.

nope, but i'm not sure what they've done in the past. It is from 3-5 today and called a "Holiday Open House." I hear this year our party is earlier in the day compared to previous ones but this is because our top guys are ringing the closing bell at the NYSE today and they'll have it televised. Heavy appetizers and free booze all around though, and I just got this email:

"Please keep the wristband you receive when you enter today's Holiday Open House. On Monday/Tuesday, you can redeem your wristband for a special commemorative bottle of Old Forester, recognizing and celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition.

A wristband is required, and these holiday gifts can be picked up at the following times and locations: "

The company I'm at now doesn't do Christmas parties anyway but does do a company Christmas movie day where they basically rent out a local movie theater for a few hours. They have everyone vote on which movie to watch before hand and then served breakfast from chic fil a before the movie and then have the movie play at the same time on a few different screens. I'm assuming that's not gonna happen this year though.
