It was on CNN and ABC etc.

When we dropped bombs paid for with your tax dollars on a sovereign nation that never once attacked America

^^ Innocent people were killed with those bombs you know..

Yep, watched a lot of it.

Iraq did attack "America" you twit. It didn't attack within our borders but it definitely didn't stop attacking us since GW1.

Yep, war sucks. Just think if we would have attacked them WW2 style...

Oh, and why exactly are you creating another thread to discuss something that has been discussed here for YEARS? The facts don't change just because more time passes. The fact is, non-compliance and attacks were more than enough for us to go in. :)

In other words just because the war was immoral and illegal and neither congress or the American people would have ever authorized it for those reasons doesn't mean you can't rationalize such hideous evil in your own head.

Yes, I tuned in to it. I argued against the war beforehand nonstop, but my opinion was of little consequence in the grand scheme of things.

Thats how its always been with war. People die. The question is did we gain anything from the war? We could have if we had taken over the oil fields. However, politicians would not let that be and the war was a useless money drain after.

This is caused by the blind ones who think the US does nothing wrong and that we are the most benevolent nation on earth or ever in existence

People sit back in the cheap chinese made desk chair with their cheap ass pc's and hurl insults at whole cultures or nations etc without EVER looking in their own mirrors

Doesn't it seem creepy .. that something like SHOCK AND AWE was televised??

Children
Senior Citizens
Grandparents
Newlyweds
babies

were killed by Shock and Awe.. but WESTERN CULTURE televised it

Ah so typical. You leave out men huh? Why do people always ignore the men in these types of discussions?

Uh no. Regardless of my own personal morality the duty of the Federal gov't is to run the military. They had more than enough reason to go into Iraq BEFORE 9/11 and should have continued on in, in 91. So while you want to try to attribute some nonsense to my statements - they are all based on reality - not emotion.

Iraq was your nation in the soup, that and SA, Iran, well it was but then it wasn't, Iraq became the other side and y ou sold them everything they had.... It's fairly well known that Iraq and the US were friendly at the time of the first Gulf War and that SH WOULD have asked for permission considerering the meetings that took place just before so...

In short, Iraq was a friend and an ally for 30 years during the Iran-Iraq war and were supplied with WMD's during that time as well as later on.

There was no known reason to attack Iraq, none what so ever, but i do know that you were one of those who argued that balsa R/C planes were the UAV's they were going to deliver their WMD's with into the US.

You know nothing but what you are told by those you need to listen to to keep it consistent, unfortunantly for you, there are none left now but you.

There was no threat, no nothing and the Iraq war was for absolutely nothing, well except dead soldiers and a sheitload of money spent on nothing.

You mean from the leaked MI6 documents? Which were declared false before the CIA used them and WAY before the US Admin at the time not only used them but went ahead to say...

"Do you want the next sign to be a mushroom cloud over NYC"?

ANYONE who still proclaims that the Iraq invasion was justified is clearly so fucked up in their skull that not even a .50 can clear it out but that's not to say that you shouldn't at least try.

Clean up the gene pool, join the GW misinfromation suicide pact today!

I think I did, but don't remember it clearly. I remember watching the bombing of Baghdad during the Gulf War Live though.

9/11 was really much more Shock and Awe IMO. It just seemed way too surreal.

:roll; Look here twit. Bush1 didn't finish the job and let it get strung out for decades. Any attack on our planes and other non-compliance meant that we had more than enough reason to go in. Saddam knew this and he kept calling our bluff. I don't care what reasons Clinton and Bush2 used to attack Iraq - they already had enough before they came out and tried to sell their actions.

See my other post moron. I was consistent with my support for removing him - I didn't need WMDs to know it was the right thing to do based on the history.

A trillion dollars later, tens of thousands of lost lives, greater instability in the region, yep it was the right thing to do.

Yeah, we should have just sat there and showed everyone that agreements mean nothing for another couple decades...

If we bombed everyone who didn't live up to their agreements half the planet would have been attacked. Iran? NK? How many others? So how did killing people in Iraq mitigate the other situations?

What it did was make it look like we had a hard on for Saddam, which I believe was really the case. Even when GWB was told that the aluminum tubes were crap by Sandia, he still used it in his speeches.

There are reasons and excuses. Iraq was a war in search of a reason.

That pretty much sums it up. Pretty amazing CSG is still defending the Iraq nonsense after all this time.

Iraq was a foreign policy in search of a clue....

This is what happens when someone uses his "gut" feeling to make decisions. While I am christian and go to church every sunday I find fault with praying on a issue like this and using your faith to justify killing thousands of people. I am still waiting for GWB to hauled away in handcuffs for his crimes on humanity....

Seems like the cad guy is in a clinical state of denial.....

any of you guys miss GW yet?

how about now?
