Or how about not making agreements with those we know won't hold up their end?
Or what, we totally fuck ourselves if we do and they balk at them? There is no way any rational person can say that what we did was the right thing.

I agree, the right thing was to finish the job the first time. :)
The job was finished. That is why Bush I stopped the war. He understood that war is a tool of policy. The policy goals he had set out to accomplish via war had been achieved so he ordered an end to the war.

No twit - I am merely explaining why I supported action against Saddam. How the war was sold and fought is irrelevant to my statement and position.

Angry because you bet on the wrong horse and refuse to admit it was a mistake? Nothing wrong with making a mistake. Just admit the US should have never invaded Iraq and that you were a blind partisan for supporting the invasion.

No, not angry at all. Disappointed we didn't fight the war to win it from the get go - yes. Disappointed that we didn't finish things the first time around - yes. So again, no mistake on my part as my support didn't start in 2001 for the removal of Saddam - it started in 90. So keep trying to claim I'm some "blind partisan" all you wish - but it seems you people are the ones being such since you clearly refuse to read my position and try to understand it.

Yes, and that's part of my position on War. If we are going to go - we need to not just hold the line - we need to win. WAR isn't pretty and is very destructive but done right something better can sprout from the ashes. Allowing the weeds to remain assures that the weeds will spread.

I can't wait for the sequel... the explosions really got the bass rocking in my home theater!

The MSM does need to get more HD/DD5.1 cameras in the field though... some of the shots during the first one were blurry and zoomed out too far. Next time, we need more close-ups and better on-the-ground surround sound audio.
