When you found your first love, did you feel that there wasn't ANYBODY else who could ever take their place and that you would marry them?

Did it work out, or no?

I definitely thought I could marry her, but realistically I didn't think it would happen. And of course it didn't.

I thought I would marry my first love, but of course I did not. If you think that marrying your first love is important then you need to talk to all the 40+ year olds who thougth the same thing and are now divorced.

I really thought that I would get married to my first love. We were even engaged. But luckily, it didn't work out

I just don't think I could ever find another girl to replace my first love that I'm with now. I just don't think it's possible. Maybe I'm just in a daze or something :)

Yes...but things change when she and your bestfriend start to secretly hang out.

90% yes

She is my first girlfriend. We moved away from our respective parents houses to a bigger city together (though seperate apartments to start, my stupid parents had some problems), we move in together in November. We have been dating almost 2 years 6 months.

I would never dump her because 1 there is alot of love here. 2 I wouldn't want to start looking for someone else since I am not into the "party scene" and don't meet anyone otherwise.

God forbid if this doesn't work out I'm living the rest of my life single.

I wish! First love is the biggest painful nightmare.

I mean, I kow he's a jerk, but I still "love" him and feel I would fall for him were he to return. I won't deny that I could be so stupid sometimes. I guess I'm thinking he would have changed by now (I know the Line almost every woman says).

LOL! I know it will never happen and I don't wish it will. I have found someone who is mature and at a different level, would treat me the best, has true luv, is courteous and respectful.

It's a shame to possess that feeling for one's so-called first love, but it appears nature luvs to punish us. :| :(

I honestly thought I would marry her... despite all the warnings and objections from the logical part of my brain.

Funny how life experiences tell you to listen to that logical part, in time.

I'm glad I didn't because I couldn't see myself being with her for the rest of my life.

Same thing, and if we were to get back together I'm sure I'd fall for her again.. but realistically, I'm glad we ended things..
