If so, assuming you're an adult (physically, since I know mentally/emotionally the bulk of ATOT is about toddler age) now, do you still eat it regularly?

I've never been fond of breakfast foods, so I hardly eat anything before around 11am, but generally, no, I don't eat cereals these days.

People heat up their cereal?
Nope better foods now, or quicker... though still sometimes cereal if the stuff sucks.

Unless I'm going nuts eating something I like, I don't eat stuff that's pure carbs. So I pretty much don't eat cereal anymore since I don't consider it that great.

I grew up on cereal. The only person that called it 'cold cereal' at that time was Charlie Brown.

I did grow up eating them, but I never liked cereal (or any breakfast foods) in the morning. I much perfer them at night - especially a sweet cereal which is more like dessert.

Now I eat cereal (dry, I hate milk on cereal) for lunch 3 days a week. I eat a bowl of Fiber One Caramel Delight and then a bowl and a half of Post Selects Maple Pecan Crunch with some added dried fruit. I'd like to have more of the Fiber One and Less of the Post Selects cereal, but any more fiber and I'm really gassy. I can only handle 10 grams at a time.

It is a quick, cheap, and reasonably healthy lunch.

Summer, yes.
Winter?
Oatmeal and bacon. You need some fat in your gut to stay warm in Minnesota.

Yes, I grew up eating it for breakfast, and I still eat it for breakfast and often times as a snack throughout the day.

If I ate dry cereal for lunch, I'd be killing someone at work by mid afternoon.

I LOVE cereal and when I eat it, I end up eating like 3-4 bowls. And no I'm not fat (175lbs 5'11").

I ate a bunch when I was growing up, but now that I know cold cereal is terrible as far as sustenance to carry me to lunch I usually just eat it as a snack. I don't really like the supersweet cereals anymore either.

To the non-milk cereal folk: Is it a texture thing from soggy cereal or taste? I have eaten cereal with a large variety of liquids and have found that vanilla flavored milk alternatives and unpasteurized goats milk have been the best.

Mostly the texture. Nothing is less appetizing to me than a floppy wet cereal flake. Plus I dislike the taste of milk (and substitutes are even worse tasting). The final benefit is that I don't need to bring milk to work or find a way to store it. Once a month I bring a few boxes of cereal and I'm set.

I was lactose intollerant as a child and never learned to like the taste of milk (which turns out to be an acquired taste).

Grape Nuts is the only cereal that I use milk because it would shatter my teeth otherwise. And then I add only enough milk to be immediately absorbed and I drain any excess out of the bowl before eating. No other cereal needs or is even helped by milk.

I'm not a lemming and use milk simply because there is a photo of it on the box.

Hate cereal for breakfast, love it as an after dinner desert/snack if dinner was weak.

I used to always eat cereal as a kid. I can't really recall all the kinds, I always alternated. I remember coco puffs, honeycombs, frosted flakes... (I'd always add a couple spoonfulls of sugar too)

Whenever I do groceries and pass by the cereal isle, it kinda gives me memories. A lot of the boxes have not changed much, if at all, it's actually kinda nostalgic to see the boxes.

I also remember I used to always get excited when there was something inside the box. It was usually something useless, but just the fact of having something was cool. :p

Yep, I have it every day. Better than no breakfast, and I never have the time or energy to make anything more demanding.

Favorites are mini wheats, honey bunches of oats, oatmeal squares, Special K with strawberries, and whatever's on sale.

I didn't really eat a lot of cold cereal as a kid. More so as an adult actually. I grew up on hot cereals like oatmeal. Yep, I still eat it almost daily in the winter time.
