i am also questioning going... a girl who is a friend of mine doesnt have a date, and asked me, i havent really given an answer yet though :-\

i would prefer to just attend the after prom parties, one of my friends has a cottage to go to, and i might go there.. that will be fun.. and that way you save a whole ton of $$

I highly suggest it. I went three times - my junior year, my senior year and my freshman year of college with my girlfriend. It's a great time and I would go again, you won't regret it.

Proms can be a lot of fun, if you are with someone decent. I went to 2. One was a complete waste of time and money. The other is a memory that I will never forget. I went with a guy on a "mercy" date. We went to supper, we danced til Midnight, we drove 85 miles to Panama City Beach, FL to walk on the Beach and drink wine coolers. We watched the sunrise...... ***breathing heavily a few moments***

I went to my senior one, it was fun as hell but what really made it was my new GF. My advice would be to go, but only go if your going to "have a good time". Don't go unless your going to enjoy yourself.


this isnt very clear....um, dont be like the guy sitting across from us at the table, him and his beautiful date just sat at the table all night looking around...didn't dance didnt talk. I suppose they had fun but.....seemed like they coulda been having more fun sitting at home by themselves.

I'd say only go if you've got a solid g/f. Don't just ask someone to go with. For me it was the latter, and a huge waste of $400.

look at it this way, if you don't go, and you spend the rest of your life regretting it, there's no going back. (ok, a little far-fetched, hey, sue me!) On the other hand, if you go, and have a crappy time, what's the loss? one night of your life and maybe $150 bucks. big deal. how many nights do we all waste on AT, and how much money do we waste on AT hot deals....
