did you ever call a teacher "mom"?

of all the memories of my childhood, for some reason this sticks out as the most embarrassing series.

i think i've called every one of my teachers mom at least once accidentally up through 6th grade mom. (maybe later, cant remember tho.) addressing a woman as a child, it just slips out. 0.0

odd things to remember and still be embarrassed over, to be sure.

ha, I did this at least once in elementary school. it's true. and it's also very embarassing.

of course, I still remember one time my dad and I were standing in line at a pizza shop when I was probably 3 years old (very early memory). I remember standing next to my dad and grabbing his leg. then I turned away for a second to do something, and i turned back around and grabbed what I thought was his leg again, but it was someone else's, and I remember crying and making a scene, being embarrassed or scared, or something. the best part is that I remember that every time I still go to that pizza parlor, because it's still there today and it's damn good - but it's still odd to have a very early memory about a public place and still be able to go to where it happened - that was 24 years ago!

I know, my story is excellent, I'm sure you guys would read it again, A++++, right? 🙂

Not when you've said that to every teacher.

k-6... -4(it was a guy... so not 4th grade.) 6 teachers.

that's not *every* teacher...

Never have called my teachers that when I was in grade school. I may have remember calling a few teachers by the wrong name, mainly because I was too nervous in class.

Not personally, but a friend of mine called Mr Perinne "dad" once.
That was 5th grade and I never saw or heard about a kid doing that ever again.

I said it to a couple of my teachers in grade school, and upon saying it they just laugh a little and act like it didn't happen. They probably treat it as a compliment.
