Never in college, thought about it a few times, but I decided i'd rather get a poor grade in a class and feel like I earned it than to do decently and not have earned it. In some ways I have a very strong conscience.

On one occasion when I neglected to do a presentation assignment, I brought a project from a previous class so I didn't look like a dillhole to the other students in the class - but after the class I went up to the prof and told him that was what I did.

Nope, never anything that could possibly get me in trouble.

As soon as you get to your spot and get your paper, write down everything you can remember on the desk in EXTREMELY small writing. Use code, acronyms, shorthand - whatever - just get it down. Then you can slide your exam over very covertly and peek at the stuff you wrote down as you go along. Helps for those 3 hour finals where one can tend to draw a blank about 2 hours in.

How is that cheating? And this is all from memory and not looking at your notes and writing some on the desk?

You could just write what you know on scrap paper or on the exam I'd think...

Regardless I haven't done this.

I have never cheated in college because I need to know the information, and honestly it's just easier to do the work myself. I cheated all the time in high school though, and was quite good at it. Would always ace tests, sometimes because I have a good memory and others because I wrote the answers on my hand.

Hmm. I guess it's not. I always felt like I was getting away with something... 🙁

I got a D- in cheating... 🙁 😛

Ditto. Never cheated on a test or a quiz, but the some of the hw assignments that the teachers give were just begging for me to "swap answers" with my friends.

Ha, reminds me of math class. For the three years in HS I took math, every day the teacher would go over the answers for the HW on the board. And every day I would copy those answer before turning in the homeowork.

A's all around, but now I suck at math.

I never cheated on anything. Most people do, though. I've seen it most consistently in business majors. It's so casual that it's second nature to them now. I have to admit that it does disgust me.

What a fvxcking bunch of liars.

Yeah, I've cheated in college and I almost got caught.
I've cheated from time to time when I partied too much.

I used to write notes on a tiny piece of paper and stuck it between my legs.
Especially in a big class and sitting in the back row, its impossible to get caught.

I tried to do it in a small class once and this prof. was starring at me for a even walked by me a few time.
I had my legs closed so she couldn't see anything.
She kept her eyes on me for so long and the class was almost over...I thought I was getting caught for sure.
So some reason, she walked out the door for a few secs and I crumbled those notes away.
I was sweating for the longest time.
Needless to say, I learned my lesson there.

People just don't want to admit they cheated at one time or another in college.

i never really cheated...i did once in like the third grade, got caught, and the teacher started calling me stupid, asking how i got into advanced math (they had three levels back then, one class for smart folks, one for average, one for stupid)...to this day i hate that bitch.

Just because you're too stupid to pass your classes without cheating doesn't mean all of us are

Business major maybe?

NO, I'm not saying everyone cheated by looking through the thread, rarely anyone admited they cheated.

College is one of the easiest most useless things you'll do in your short life. Don't take it too seriously, and don't get down on people who really don't care about it.

I used to stick a ton of formulas in my TI-83. I had a program that would hide everything in my programs list, but even though I used that nobody ever bothered to check in the calculator.

I cheated a little bit in high school, but never in college.

not really at least. there was one time when I took advantage of a professor's addled mind and closeness to retirement.

junior year, Sociology 430 - Research Methods. we had to do a group term paper worth 30% of our grade. due to some complications, my group dropped me from the project. by the time I discovered this, it was only a week away from the deadline, and way too late to try to get into another group. I decided to just fvck it. I had an A in the class already, so missing that 30% would drop me to a C -- still high enough to pass, even for a class in my major. with no intervention on my part, the professor decided that my group must have just forgotten to include my name on the paper, and gave me their grade. I didn't correct him 😉

What was your major?
