Did you buy a diamond between Jan 1, 1994 and March 31, 2006?

So if I am reading that right, I can claim up to $2950??????

59% of a loose diamond price?

Wow, thanks for the link OP. I submitted my claim online. I bought my wife's engagement ring in October of 2004, so hopefully I'll see a bit of the settlement.

Is there a cap? I spent over $50k in diamond jewelry for my wife in that time frame. Any idea what I'm eligible for? I should have receipt for at least half. I may have to search for the rest.

Thanks for the info

Now I need to find the receipt

I submitted my purchase info but more than likely they will ask for a receipt, how else will they be able to verify the purchase?

Anyway, its probably the worst investment to make, but I have wasted money on a lot of other stupid things, way much more of a waste than an engagement ring which gets used and looked at everyday at least by one person.

WOW LOOK AT ASSHAT'S MONEY.

BTW more of a down payment doesn't affect interest always. One can always pay more per month regardless.

If you put 20% down in the last 5 years you probably have lost your ass on that.

Wow, great find op!

I have spent a nice chunk of change on diamonds in that time frame.

It looks like you have to mail-in your receipt and precise diamond description for any individual stone/jewelry piece that cost you more than $10k.

If I really do get 50% of my purchase price back I am going to be sending the Op something nice... 🙂

Hmm, they may ask for a receipt, but will also accept appraisals.

I could only find the receipt for my wedding set, but I (under)guestimated the rest of my stuff. If they ask for receipts, maybe I can run and get 'em appraised. At least I have the receipt for the big money item.

Yay free money! (so to speak)

i seriously doubt they are going to give refunds without verification of both the purchase and actual date of purchase.

Wow.

Nice!

Wifey will be happy...she can buy some more overpriced diamonds with the rebate/coupon settlement.😉

just filed online for a $2100 purchase I made in 2000. I don't need to mail anything if my purchase was less than $10k, right?

I have the invoice, CC receipt and the EGL cert still.

I used to buy a lot of jewelry for my wife--her engagement ring, her diamond tennis bracelet, anniversay band, ear rings, etc. I was up to $7800.

Submitted claim for $6750 - 1 engagement ring + 1 pendant necklace. I think I'll be lucky to see anything...but we'll see. Thanks for the link!

Pss, that's nothing. I spent at least $348k in that first YEAR!

I went ahead and submitted a claim, because I'm running low on toilet paper after all...
