My buddy went on a beer run Saturday night and came back with 2 12 packs of Bud Ice and a 6 pack of Corona Light because none of us had ever tried Corona before. The first bottle we opened smelled like a skunk.....is Corona supposed to reek or did we get some bad beer. I didn't think it was all that fantastic either way, Bud Ice was better ;):)

corrona should be a green bottled beer, as it is a "green beer"
ever smell a heineken or becks...
unless you got a batch that the mexicans refilled with piss...
then it was bad!

If you were looking for inexpensive yet halfway decent beer, Rolling Rock would have been a good choice.

Yes, they're both suppossed to taste like ass b/c they're both ass beers. The skuniness is actually a chemical reaction due to light, and the absence of a brown bottle speeds the process.

OMG, Bud Ice is like the nastiest beer I've ever had in my whole life of drinking a lot of beer. Just the thought of that swill has retch climbing up the back of my throat... ugh.
Corona is good beer for Mexican beer. Good with chips and salsa or on a hot day. Best ice cold with a thin wedge of lime in the glass. Tecate, IMO, is the best Mexican beer.

Bud Ice is second only to Pabst Blue Ribbon. :D Actually, the worst beer that I've ever had was called 'The Albino Rhino Pale Ale' and I only tried it because the name sounded funny. You can get it at Earl's on Broadway up in Vancouver, if you dare. :D

Yep I am a big believer in Rolling Rock. I prefer Dos Equis over Corona. My favorite beer is still Samuel Adam's Oktoberfest.

I knew I shouldn't have mentioned the Bud Ice. It would be great if we could afford to buy expensive beer. I suggested trying something different because I was getting tired of bud light.

About how much does a 12 pack of Rolling Rock cost?

I have never paid attention but I believe a six pack is 6.99 or 7.99.

There is NO beer better than Guiness except for the possible slight exception of 2 local beers around here by Deschutes Brewery called Black Butte Porter and Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Certainly no Mexican beer is better than the mighty "bread of the Gods," and definitely not crap Coors-made Killians.

LOL, bud ice...that's funny :)

Hehe. I like Corona, but normal corona tastes like a light beer.

I'm a big fan of Sam's and Guiness I gotta say. I'd rather enjoy 3 or 4 guinesses then get smashed on a lesser beer.

And LOL at rolling rock ahead of corona and guiness on your taste test :) While RR is good stuff, I'd put it close to corona but a head under my one and only love....

Caldera is really strong--tasty too! That reminds me. The same night I tried Caldera (something or other ale or beer or lager), I got a black and tan cause I saw the ad on a wall in the bar. The sad thing about it is they had run out of Bass pale ale. So I get a Guiness mixed with something that tasted like a mix of Natural Ice and Miller HL (both of which are good for getting the dog drunk). Tasted like watered down coffee. I got a free one after I suffered through the nastiness.

oh happy days are here again!
