I did something really stupid and now need help to fix it.
I basically just deleted all my favorites (bookmarks) fpr the last two years.
Here is how it happened:
I was setting up an external harddrive to do my backups on.
So I thought it would be cool to install the briefcase function on it so I can synchronize/backup all my files really easily.
I dragged the favorites folder into the briefcase but then decided I wanted it to be a subfolder of a new folder "System" within the briefcase.
So I moved it within the briefcase wich resulted in all the files in the favorites folder to become orphaned.
Well, then I thought that they are orphaned/no longer connected to the original files so I can delete without problems.
I deleted them but when I did the first synchronization after that ALL the original files were removed too!!!!!
I deleted the backup version on the external harddrive and briefcase deleted the originals.
I tried doing two system restores and the files are still gone.
Is there any way to restore them? I didn't do anything to the external HD after that so the image might still be on the HD ...
I know there are some restore programs that might do this but which one (Shareware/freeware please!)?
And how does it work (I really don't want to screw this up)?
