The incident you speak of was public information back in the original pissing match over Kavanaugh. It seems the media wishes to blur the line between new and old information to leave its viewers ignorant of the specifics. I found similar cross references in the article I read off of Drudge.

I am pointing out the politically opportunistic and disingenuous nature of this entire discussion.

I have no doubt that Kavanaugh was your typical ivy league frat boy. I also know his behaviors were at the time of Porky’s and Animal House and Motley Crue, where both men and women willingly engaged in behaviors that we would condemn now. I came of age in that era, and lets just say there were a lot of parties, a lot of sex and a lot of negligence by adults in checking those behaviors.

Fairfax is suing the media for giving his victim a voice. No one seems concerned about that. But then again, such accusations should play out in a courtroom, not social media.

RGB praised Kavanaugh for appointing an all female staff, which does more to move the needle in the right direction then debating what he may or may not have done in 1985.

I'm not sure what I've ever said here to warrant this insult, and if I was its intended target (regardless of whether I was the only intended target), I invite you to submit some evidence to back your assertion against me or apologise.

The sort of alleged misbehavior one would expect from frat boys but falls short of being a crime. Today's "new information" is the weakest yet. When the Repbilcans release the 100k pages of documents covering Kavanough's time in the White House, we'll talk about something other than silly ol' sexual assault allegations. Then we can talk about Kavanaugh's role in providing legal cover for Bush's use of torture and other war crimes.

And the standards for sending someone to prison are not the same standards as for giving someone a lifetime appointment to an enormously powerful, unreviewable court.

The country we are dreaming of is the country that already exists and has for our entire lifetimes. Public knowledge of identical accusations would stop people from getting jobs all over the country. Apparently if you become powerful enough though the rules no longer apply.

The problem with that is the "bar" has two positions. Accused or convicted. I'll go ahead and throw in "credibly accused" for the sake of argument, but it needs to be absolutely defined before it can be used to derail a single appointment.
In the case of Kavanaugh, my hunch is that there is truth to the story, but we don't and can't know the specifics.
