I have a HP 720C Deskjet printer.
I wanted an inexpensive digital camera, so today I got the 1.3 megapixel HP215 for $100 (after MIR). To get an additional $100 CompUSA gift certificate from a combo-deal I bought the HP 842C for $70 (after another MIR). [In other words - for $170 I got the Camera, printer and $100 gift card.]
However, looking at the specs, the only difference I see between my old and new printers is the 842 is a bit faster, has 4x more memory and has ColorSmart III (instead of II). Black is still 600 dpi (best on both).
Best color on the new one is 600x1200 dpi - my old one was 600x600.
Is this really an upgrade? Or should I save up my money and get one of the better ones?
