ALWAYS set the price for this sort of thing before the work starts. I've got a guy that comes by every few months asking if anybody wants him to take the dead fronds off their palm trees. I've got two and he always asks for $50 but he's never turned it down when I counter offer $20. At $20 it's worth it for me not to have to bother with them but for $50 I'd get up there and do it myself.
