What's pathetic about him is that he's 50 years old and he's still telling the same old fart jokes and getting off on boobies as if he were in 7th grade.

Back in high school, I really got a kick out of Stern. But at some point in the last 5-6 years, I realized that his diet of making fun of sideshow freaks and crappy wannabe porn stars never changed day after day after day. The entire cast of his show is a bunch of sycophants and yes-men who always just say "Oh yes, Howard, you are SO right."

It just got boring.

Sure, he was influential, a pioneer, changed the world of radio, etc.

But now that his mark has been made upon the world, it just might be time to come up with a new idea or retire.

I thought it could be a joke, but I didn't put it past the FCC to fine him for some bullsh!t. I'm glad he's still around. My morning drive would have REALLY sucked. :(

Bob and Tom are horrible. All they do is tell horrible jokes (if you want to call them jokes), then laugh hysterically for like 20 seconds in their deep raspy annoying voices. All they do is laugh to get people to think the content is funny, when in reality, it isn't even a joke.

It had the desired effect for me - I climbed out of the shower to Britney Spears' "Toxic," followed by the two hosts talking about how Howard was removed from Infinity stations late last night, then some inane banter about American Idol. I shut it off. Anyone know how long they played the awful Cross and Lopez before they moved back to Stern?

His website is not down, it's just getting hammered by millions of disgruntled Stern fans. I managed to load it a few minutes ago - it appears to have been totally revamped with a red and black layout.

Bob, Tom, CCCHHHIIIICCCCCKKKKKKK

Personally I love Bob and Tom. We have them here in Nashville (WBUZ), and I've gone and seen them in person.

one can only hope.

not that I listen to him, but in NYC, he's broadcast in the morning on my favorite radio station (KROQ). that means that I have to listen to crappy soft-rock radio stations on my drive home from work.

now that the weather is getting warmer, though, it might be time to bring my iPod back into the car.

why does the weather have to be warmer to bring the ipod back into the car? that has got to be one of the dumbest things i have ever heard unless you have a really good reason

So what you're saying is that YOU have outgrown the show. Why not just say that and move on? But because you don't like the show anymore that must mean the host is pathetic and the rest of the people are imbeciles. Sheesh some of you guys act as if the world should revolve around your every whim.

Speaking of sycophants and yes-men, I neglected to mention his clinging fans.

As far as why I can't just say I outgrew the show? Because that is not the whole of my opinon, and you flat-out ASKED why people thought he was pathetic!

If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question!

Actually I'm kind of pissed about a co-worker. She rants about every damn thing under the sun unless she has a personal interest in it.

when the weather got cold, I started having problems with my iPod. after leaving it in the car all night, it wouldn't turn on when I got back to the car in the morning. it wouldn't work until I warmed it up again.

don't know if it was the iPod or the remote, but because of the setup I had in my car, one was useless without the other.

ok, you arent stupid then. that is pretty weird. its just a hard drive, and it should work regardless of how cold it is (to a certain extent obviously). hmm very interesting

Yep, blame the government when people can't follow the rules.

What rules? Some poorly defined "decency" rules that are wide open to interpretation? Stern has never allowed any of the 7 dirty words to be aired on his show. And n!gger is not one of those 7 dirty words (which is basically why he was kicked off of Clear Channel - a caller said n!gger).

Someone with an ounce of intelligence around here. I'm glad someone gets it. The FCC has absolutely no clearly defined 'rules', except for the seven dirty words, which as Triumph said, Stern has never aired. However, Ryan Seacrest, ON HIS FIRST DAY ON HIS LAME RADIO SHOW, allowed the word 'fvck' on the air TWO TIMES!!! Was he fined? Pulled off the air? Suspended? Fired? No. Why not? Really makes you scratch your head and ask yourself why. And if it doesn't, it should.
