Knowing that she was being followed and monitored by close Trump associates in a way that creates serious concern about her safety makes what Trump said definitely sound like it could be him ordering a hit. He's certainly insane enough to do it. His cult of Nazis are certainly brainwashed enough to defend him if he'd done it. McConnell, Graham, Nunes and others are certainly corrupt enough to protect him had he done it.

He didn’t and yes the President is a turd.
He ordered someone, anyone to fire her. That was the point of the conversation. Why he was too much of a pussy to fire her is beyond me but it is okay to delegate thing s like this.

Above isn’t saying it was a good idea to fire her it’s also not saying the President didn’t have a secret agenda. What it is saying he wasn’t looking for a hit man to kill her.

Directing people with no authority to fire the ambassador to fire the ambassador seems foolish, particularly when the one giving the direction is the one with the authority to fire the ambassador.
