Did anyone play old Sierra or LucasArts games?

I played Bible Man, but I don't know if that was made by Lucas (I think it might've been though)

There was one called Amon Ra or something like... the tale of amon ra? Was an awesome adventure game. Also the robin hood one was awesome too.

I loved all of those games. To bad those devs have either dried up or turned their backs on pc gaming development (Lucasarts) I tend to agree those where some of the best games. They had good stories we enjoyed following and they were all around good games. Something most developers have lost sight of these days.

But it's time to look to the future. If you liked those games it appears adventure gaming has made a return. Theres been a number of titles released over the past few years including Sam and Max, Broken Sword, couple other titles I can't remember and Im very excited to see a bunch of adventure titles on this list why you want to be a pc gamer list 2008

Yes I agree, I was into the original Dark Forces games and Jedi Knight 2. I still recall the gateway store that was here locally, closed down about 4 years ago, was holding a contest on who could get the highest score on the Jedi Knight 2 deathmatch on their computers, winner took home one of their brand new computers. I still recall playing King's Quest 2 in High School on a teachers computer. Other than that the only game I played was Grim Fandango that brings back memories.

I played through it again sometime last year. Still a great game.

Wow, it's not a lot of adventures that it's fun to replay. I never played much of the first one, but I liked GK 2 and even went looking for game locations when I went to Germany.

First 2 games I bought for the PC was from Sierra. First was Alien Legacy, which you settled a new solar system and the plotline had to do with finding out why the first colony failed. Then there was Outpost2, that was a nice RTS with interesting base building. Homeworld was also by Sierra.

The heyday of gaming. To this day nothing has come along that is better than those games. I still, to this day, play all of the old Infocomm text games.

I've got a disc from way back called Lost Treasures of Infocom that has something like 20 text games including the Zorks, Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy, Planetfall, Stationfall, etc. It came with fold-out maps with hints and such. Good stuff.

Full Throttle, The Dig, Sam and Max, and the Monkey Island games were a blast!! The new Sam and Max game is really good also. Gave me quite a few LOL moments.

Ultima 7 is probably my all-time favorite oldie. The world was so huge and detailed, even by today's standards!

my all time favorite (i own all the original tittles still in floppies) was Rogers Wilco series, and the most crack fun i had was in Rogers Wilco 5

it's too bad they didn't make more continuation after that.

i miss those days....

Dune 1 and Dune 2, was also among my top favorites, back then, and even now stilll, due the amazing fun i had, they are deeply engraved in my memories

I played through Space Quest 4 recently, after finding the CD in an old box. SQ3 was my favorite game growing up, but I don't have a copy of that anymore. I would love to play Wing Commander 4 again, because I loved that game when I played through it. Biff was hilarious!

I hated trying to draw the damn pentagram on the map in Police Quest (3 I think). Spent weeks trying to get everything right on the spot, the game was way too anal about making sure it was perfectly on.

Yep, that was it. I couldn't get past the part where you had to pull the guy over, because the game was nearly impossible to play on anything that wasn't a 386 33MHz with the way they did the timing on that part. (Tried playing on a Pentium 60) But I remember playing it at a friends house with a slower computer and it worked then. It was pretty fun.

Ahahahahah. I remember that, you pull out of the police station and half a second later you instantly drive off the edge of the map into oblivion. Good thing we've got Dos Box now, I'll have to pull out my copy of PQ3 and see how it runs on it.
