heads up for HTC One owners in the US.
HTC currently has a promo giving away $25 Google Play credit for:
the kicker is, this apparently works even if you bought the One before June 14. I bought mine the second week of May and I received my code today. there are people reporting that they got it the first day it was released and also received their codes.
go get it! promo link is here

awesome! how long did it take to receive your code?
Pity it only covers USA HTC Ones.

I played with the phone a bit more, did some tweaking here and there... and I'm at under 1% / hour idle on 3G (0.8% now). LOVE IT!![]()
are you using LTE Qbah?
Well, disabling WiFi when there are no hotspots helped a bit. Then I use Backitude. Push email for Gmail app and the built in one for hotmail (push too). Weather every 30 minutes... screen brightness at 35-ish % (it's still very bright...). Disabled some location things with Google too (and Google Now is off). So not really anything fancy.
Impressed with the HTC One's drop survivability.
But the temperature test is probably HTC One's weakest point.
