I didn't see it. I've been busy today, but it's on my DVR, so I'll watch some of it when I get some free time.

Some of us had to work to pay for all the shit this asshat is promising everyone.

Too bad you missed it; he was calling for sacrifice and national unity.
Last time I calculated, 63% of my income ends up in a tax coffer of one type or another. Isn't that enough?
I'd like to see that calculation.

Seriously; anyone who spends 63% of their income on taxes is doing it wrong. :Q

I missed it completely on purpose. No need to watch a cult ritual of slaves worshiping their new master.

When it is the majority, it is not really a "cult", but feel free to hate the majority of the citizens of the United States.

National unity is doing it their way.

Of course it doesn't work on the other side either, but unity is a fucking joke, not a choice.
Huh? Bush acted against the wishes of the majority when he enacted these rules; Obama is setting it right again.

I'd like to see that calculation.
Federal income tax + Retirement tax + medicaid tax + State income tax + city income tax + personal property tax + fuel tax + sales tax + federal excise tax + all the other little taxes on utility biils.

My Federal, State, and retirement/medicaid tax obligations alone exceed 50% of my income.

He didn't enact them. He reversed them, as did Clinton.

Oops, sorry.

Reagan acted against the wishes of the majority when he enacted these rules; Obama is setting it right again.

I will never agree with that. So much for unity. I can think of a way to meet him 1/2 way, though.

A cult is not necessarily a minority. I never said I hate the 'citizens,' (slaves) of the United States. I simply find it amazing and odd that these 'citizens' allow their freedom to be decimated and their lives to be centrally planned. Politicians do not really matter much anymore, in any event. Society is being hollowed out by debt and inflation. Unfortunately, the unsuspecting host is near death (economically speaking).

DVR'ed it. Watched every second. Watched the oath times and the speech twice. Been watching the inauguration balls up until an hour ago.

Sure as hell am not going to tell my kids that I don't remember what happened on this historic day.

Fine, but the overwhelming majority of Americans does, and they elected him to move us forward, not backward.

There are hundreds of these polls that will show that you are Wrong by a very large measure No doubt, you might be able to find one that shows your overwhelming majority.

I did not watch it. I have never watched any of them in my 54 years on this earth. They have all managed to get accomplished without my participation.

I did catch the oath much later in the day flipping channels. It seemed that Obama did not repeat back the entire oath. I seem to recall it being discussed here and it was attributed to nervousness. This does not bode well IMO, but I am not surprised.

The guy who simply had to read the oath from a piece of paper aloud for Obama to repeat messed it up.

Chief Justice John Roberts also misspoke as he administered the oath to Obama. Roberts asked Obama to ?execute the office of president to the United States faithfully,? rather than to ?faithfully execute the office of president of the United States? as dictated by the Constitution. The snafu caused Obama to halt mid-oath and grin before Roberts corrected himself.
Do they teach classes at your local community college on how to use Google?
