Diablo III- Monk and Wizard classes added

In the original D2 before the expansion, if you had the two unique rings Manald+Nagel the next unique ring to spawn would be an soj. So people would load up on gold and gamble away with these two rings in the game. Sometimes you would get lucky and get an SOJ on the first few tries but sometimes it would take a couple million gold.

After the patches/expansion (I forget which), they changed the mechanics of item spawning so you can't do this anymore. Plus with the addition of more unique rings the chances of getting an soj is 1 in 7 unique rings.
 
diablo 3 i bet will come out in 2011...:/ oh well, im sure it will be worth the wait though!

as for diablo 2...i remember playing it and this guy on battle net just dumped his character (amazon, full of the best uniques at the time) and gave all his stuff to me. d2 is one of the best games ive ever played, thats for sure..

Lets not forget druids and pallys as options for Blizzard to pick. IMHO the next class will be a druid type of character. Also Rogue = Assassin class in D2. Amazons were great back when they were viable as spearazons a long time ago.

Anyways this being Blizzard it means the game will not come out until it rocks and rocks hard.

I think some sort of shapeshifter class would be nice. The druid of Diablo 2 was not nearly cool enough. They could have done a LOT more with him.

Goatman would be the number one choice of players. Well, unless they have some sort of succubus with big teats.
 
I wonder if the monk in D3 has any connection to the one from the unofficial expansion for Diablo 1 (forgot what it was called...). Anyway the monk looks awesome, it will definitely be the first class I make.
 
mmmmmm, I played it at blizzcon, sooo fun.

I want D3 now, SC2 can wait. SC2 wasn't all that fun imo. I will still play/buy it though.

I meant the Rogue like in Diablo 1. They need a ranged attack person in the mix still. They will just call it Rogue or Hunter.

The Monk seems to be a combination of the Assassin and Paladin classes from Diablo 2.

Hellfire. Blizzard had nothing to do with Hellfire from what I have read.

Yeah hellfire was an unofficial expansion, I don't think a company could do that today without being sued to hell and back lol. Then again they probably had Blizz's permission to do it, I remember there being a lot of unofficial releases for Blizz games back in the day.

I can't wait for Diablo 3. It is going to absorb so much of my time. I am rolling a Barbarian first. I am hoping for a ranged Rogue class to be there to play it second.

Any REAL Diablo player would know that the Rogue I was talking about was the archer from Diablo 1 😛

EDIT: I hope they make a throwing weapon Barb a viable option this time around!

Omg yes you can pick gender in this one? I always loved playing an Amazon in D2 but I hated playing a female. Dude this is gonna be a badass game. Hopefully this time they can keep all of the duping and hacks out of it. If they can, I'll be hooked far beyond WoW.

I was about to say that 😛

They have to have some kind of non-magical ranged class. They always have. They already have two physicals and two magical.

yeah, i loved playing rougue in diablo I.
rogue + bow + firewall = cant be touched.

I loved playing the female character, it lets me watch that hot piece of @SS run all over and kill.
