i cant wait for this game =S. i just hope i can upgrade my rig in time for this game. =#

I don't see it being a particularly needy game as far as requirements go. They're aiming for mass appeal, and its still probably a year or two away (most recent thing seemed to hint at 2011 at the earliest).

I'm curious to see what skills they do. I'll almost certainly play a barbarian, with a focus on Frenzy unless they nerfed it. I never liked whirlwind or most of the other active skills (I originally made one with Berserk and a big two hand weapon, but then found I liked Frenzy so much more).

I was sorta able to make a Frenzy type in Torchlight, but it wasn't the same.

Sweet! I think the Wizard class has been up on their website for a while, but the Monk class is new. Dammit Blizzard, just finish the game! :p

The monk was announced at Blizzcon in September this year. They hinted that they may wait until Blizzcon of 2010 to announce the 5th class. They still have to work out the acts in the games. I remember reading something stating that they were only up to Act 2 in making the game whent hey released the Monk info.

Rogue or a Hunter class. Amazons are females only. Diablo 3 class selection allows you to choose male or female this time.

I am far from a Blizzard fanboy but I will say this:
If anyone can live up to the hype, its them. AND : They have never had any major disappointments.
I wasnt a huge lover of Warcraft 3, but it was far from bad. I hate MMO's, but readily acknowledge World of Warcraft is probably the most popular one ever made.


As for guys who say they cant wait: Suck it up. They havent promised any kind of firm date, and StarCraft 2 isnt even out yet.

been playing Torchlight and Blizzard really did the formula well with Diablo 2

just keep thinking if I'm playing Torchlight, I really should be playing Diablo 2 since it is superior to Torchlight imo

Hope they fix the botting/duping problem. It was getting kinda ridiculous with the lvl 90+ pallys just botting all on baal (or whatever bosses you wanted) and flooding the economy with botted items. With Virtual machines you could run like 3-4 bots and farm everything within a month or so.

In D2, i could go from lvl1 to lvl34 in 4hrs to get the optimum imbue for uber weapons/armor.

it got to the point where i was making 1 character a day from work just to imbue :eek:

ah.. those were the days

forget the vm the way to do it is run clientless bots. You can run 100's and people do...

Yes, that game got very bad.. lmao.. I was definitely in the same boat.

I remember those preexpansion days. I also remember gambling for sojs using manald/nagel.

I still want them to make a Goat-man character. Goat-men have been prominent in past Diablos. Still 2+ years away from D3 so play something else for a while :p
