Dexter (Final) Season 8

I'm going for:
- Oliver kidnaps and kills Hannah (and maybe Deb/Jamie too).
- Harrison is there.
- We get the nice "loop" of Dexter sitting in his mother's blood as a child and Harrison sitting in Hannah's blood, whom he has called his mommy.
- Dexter goes nuts and kills Oliver, potentially in a public way, and gets caught.
- Harrison goes to live with his grandparents and we skip forward in time to see him following the same track as Dexter.

Haven't we already had a Harrison in Rita's blood scene?

This season definitely hasn't lived up to the hype, but I still watch it and enjoy it to a degree like spending time with a loved one whom you know is about to pass away.

Congrats to the winning bidder on Ebay who successfully purchased the rights to create this seasons Dexter script. No doubt they took atleast one whole afternoon to pen all the episodes.

wat?

the whole production crew is smoking crack/drunk.

2 episodes left and this last episode was weak. NOTHING has been happening. every week they set up a tiny thing here and there. I suspect nothing interesting will happen until the last 10 minutes of the final episode

I find it amazing just how much the show is dragging. To me it suggests the production crew is hoping to either continue the show or make a movie, so they are refraining from killing any of the main characters. Even if this is the case (and I consider it misguided if it is), they could at least threaten them. We have what, two or three episodes left and nothing is happening that anyone cares about. It's ridiculous. It is really hard to make it through each episode at this point.

Quinn/Jamie break up. Quinn/Deb get back together or something like that. Deb returns to the force. Dexter puts his notice in. Hannah gets noticed by the nurse. Oliver kills Vogel.

Nope nothing at all happened. Boring episode for sure.

A lot happened. I just didn't care about any of it. I pretty much wrote off this season when they brought back Hannah.

I'm gonna be kind of pissed if Dexter gets to walk off into the sunset and live happily ever after with Hannah in Argentina or wherever she wanted to go.

And virtually none of this has anything significant to do with Dexter. On paper, a lot happened, but little of it has any relevance to the central plotlines of the show. We are two episodes from the end, and bogged down in Quinn's love life? Give me a break . . .

I have a feeling (hope?) that it was just a tying up loose ends episode. Jamie leaves and gets on with her life, Quinn and Deb are going to spend their lives together. Vogel storyline is done with. Not that I disagree with you, two episodes from the end and this crap is covered now.

The last 2 episodes should be devoted to Dex, the US Marshal, Hannah and Oliver, but every time I think they are going to get on with it already, it bogs down again. I love the show, and have obviously been a defender of it for a few seasons now, but I really can't defend this season. It's been very underwhelming for a final season of a 8 season show.

I can find something I like in just about every episode of each of the first 7 seasons. Season 8 has been the most disappointing though...and it shouldn't have been.

Was Dexter on the 1st before Labor Day? It didn't record and when we went to watch Sundays episode we clearly missed an episode.
