I watched this last night and all I could think of was how bad and lazy the writing has gotten on this show. It used to be interesting and awesome but as time goes by its slowly becoming a echo of what it once was. I think this show really started losing itself years ago when they took a sociopath and forced him to have feelings. If they left him as he was in the first season I think it would still be an awesome show. Now we're at the point where all those bad decisions are compounding as they attempt to close it all up. I also think the show suffers from a surplus of characters which is why we're treated to stupid storylines like masuka having a kid. I don't care much about masuka, nor Quinn's which woman should I be with soap opera crap.
I have liked the season so far. The episode last night was meh.
I don't like the apprentice he chose. The guy seems unstable.
I forgot there was an episode last night. The show has been going downhill for a little while now, and this season is really not up to par.
Eh, I liked the first five episodes or so. They were not amazing, but I enjoyed them. It seems to have taken an extra crappy turn now though. :\

If I have not been watching this show for the past several years I would bail. This season is HORRIBLE. It makes me worry that the ending will be so bad it could reason the entire series as a whole. I have liked most of the other seasons except the one with the religious fanatic.
Too many dumb storylines this season. I can care less about Quinn, Dexters apprentice, or Deb's love storyline. There are only 5 episodes left. Dexter should already be in serious trouble with the law or being found out somehow.
yeah good question, that kinda got me off guard. It's weird that it gets reintroduced now, unless there's some kind of plot twist coming. So, who is the serial brain surgeon?
So, who is the serial brain surgeon?
Oliver. I have a feeling he is Vogel's son.
Maybe Dexter and Hannah will just sail away in the end.
I hope so. None of this kill Dexter shit, should end with him going off into the night. Leave it open ended for everyone to think about.
And damnitWhy did they kill Zach just as I started to like him? Seriously up until this last episode I didn't care for him, then Sunday's had me going "hey, he's pretty cool" *WACK*
This last season has been SO uninspired and just . . . meh. Even the most "climactic" scenes feel humdrum.
Meanwhile, Breaking Bad is continuing to raise the bar higher than any serialized drama, ever, and airing the most exciting and compelling final season in TV history. I found it mystifying when in a poll about a year ago - http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2258091 - there were people picking Dexter over Breaking Bad, and it's even more inexplicable now. The best season of Dexter (clearly the Trinity season) was still light years behind any season of BB.
