I still think Invisible War is the best in the franchise.

I mean....Invis War wasn't really THAT bad (unless you compare it to the first game...) but....what? Compared to the original game, Invis War is awful...

Total lack of free roam. Total lack of the depth the original game had. Totally screws up the ending of the previous game...

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will follow two factions in the trans-humanist world.........

Those that like orange, and those that like lemon-lime.

I absolutely loved DR:HR it is definitely one of my top games in the past few years. Can't wait for this to be released.

Hopefully you can play it like COD. Last Deus Ex whats his name was a weak pansy, your inventory was hilariously limited and the levels were rather boxy and meh. And I vaguely remember trying to play it again and getting horrific stuttering.

Ugh. Just go away. There's already more "CoD-like" games in the last 3 years than Deus Ex style games in history.

Go play CoD if you want CoD. Leave Deus Ex for those who like a modicum of thought and ingenuity in their games.

Stuttering was patched out. There were more than enough Praxis Kits for 3x inventory upgrades without sacrificing anything else, so you could end up carrying 3-5 weapons vs the usual "2 weapon limit" of many "modern" COD-style FPS games, etc. There is also a mod that changes the size of weapons and ammo stack sizes (you could make each weapon take up only 1x1 if you wanted) allowing you to carrying everything you ever picked up. And as "boxy" as the levels were, they were still far more open than many "corridor" COD games with multiple choices of entry (front door vs side window vs airvents vs rooftops, etc).

Edit : As for wanting every game to be like COD, if that happened I'd probably stop buying FPS games for good...

Hmmm. I know we don't have much info yet, I just hope they don't take it the way of Splinter Cell and turn it into a pure action game with "stealth elements". I'm also hoping they do a little more with the story. Thus far what we've gotten has been pretty predictable if you've played the first game.

1. Human centric path
2. Machine centric path
3. Illuminati centric path

Is a little mix-up too much to ask? :p

I just hope the artistic direction and fidelity are upped in this game. I liked Human Revolution, but the environment art and execution were just abysmal.

Technically HR is a prequal to Deus Ex; so no...;) so we're set by the rules of the first game.....and for the love of god; whoever say Deus Ex: HR needs to play like COD ......what are you smoking?!?

Its a stealth shooter;......not a mindless; skillless free for all gun blazes.....*technically you could play it that way but wasn't as fun as sneaking around and stealth killing

Good news, the game was great. Gonna redo DE:HR soon since I still have the DLC to do.

Stuttering was patched out.
I played it last year and it stuttered like crazy, if my frame rate wasn't over 100, it felt like less than 30. :Edit, I used the ENB cache fix, which helped stuttering some, but also dropped my overall frame rate by a good 20%.

Try this:-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC

Set AllowJobStealing to 0

---

For NVIDIA owners:-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC\Graphics

Set AtiForceFetch4 to 0

For the non-Directors Cut, the "Deus Ex: HRDC" becomes "Deus Ex: HR"

I tried all the known fixes, and the ENB cache is the only thing that helped in some situations, but I ended up having to lower settings to keep the frame rate around 100+.

I played the game fairly recently (within the last two years), at max settings, and I experienced no such stuttering. At the time I was playing on a pc with an intel 2500K processor, amd R9-290X graphics card, and 8gb of RAM. I was never looking to get more than a consistent 60 fps with no noticeable dips though. Everything seemed smooth to me. Perhaps there's something else going on with your system.

Same here. Although my card is a 7970 and always ran it on 2560x1600 very smoothly.

In DX11 the game performed fine, but DX9 was a complete mess; unfortunately, DX11 had it's own set of bugs (reported by many users, not just me as an isolated case) that dissuaded me from using it. Either way, I stand by what I said, the game was the buggiest I've played of that entire generation.

Meh. I wasn't that impressed with DE:HR, seemed like a short, overly cinematic, preachy game that assumed you were an idiot with tiny little claustrophobic levels advertised as exploring cities. DE:IW was so buggy I never made it more than a few minutes (and this is coming from a huge fan of Fallout 3/New Vegas!), and I barely even remember the original. If this looks like it's larger and not quite so pretentious I may jump, but probably not until it hits $20 on Steam.
