Gee, why would a top notch game programmer say this? He must know a lot more than this "Dave" character, as he actually WORKS with all kinds of hardware (other than 3Dfx), and uses it in "real world" situations -- rather than someone who just sits in a cubicle all day and ponders on the wonders of HSR.
