How much did it cost you?

What I paid isn't important. MSRP, however, is roughly $1500.

I'm not even going to ask you. I want to know. But I'm not gonna ask. You'll tell me when you feel comfortable. So what was it? Four hundred? Five hundred? Did you pay five hundred for this? Over six? Can't be seven. Don't tell me you paid seven hundred dollars for this chair! Did you pay seven hundred dollars for this chair? Is that what you're saying to me? You are sick! Is that what you paid for this chair? Over seven hundred? What did you pay for this chair? I won't say anything. I wanna know what you paid for this chair! Oh my God! A thousand dollars? You paid a thousand dollars for this chair? All right, fine. I'm walking outta here right now thinking you paid a thousand dollars for this chair, unless you tell me different. Oh, ho! All right! I'll tell you what, if you don't say anything in the next five seconds, I'll know it was over a thousand.

I'm thinking about buying a Posture-Fit kit off of eBay. Does anyone have experience with both static and dynamic lumbar support options?

I have the Pusturfit on my chair (and my wife's). I sat in a chair with the lumbar support, and I thought it stuck out too far. I didn't realize it was reversible though, so that might have helped. I like that the Posturfit is more adjustable, but it is NOT adjustable vertically. My wife doesn't like that, she says it's too low. Meh. I like it the way it is. I only paid an extra $30 for it, because I bought it with the chair. I did NOT like the way it installs though, because it requires you to push a piece of plastic THROUGH the mesh on the back of the chair.

my $100 on sale chair from Best Buy owns, it's comfortable and has roller blade wheels. on a hard floor I can FLY! It's way faster than any other chair I've ever had. And in the end it all comes down to 2 things, comfort, and how quickly I can get to my mini fridge to get a Coke without having to actually get out of my chair. One push with my legs and I can glide quickly all the way across the room.

Hell will freeze over before I spend more than $150 on computer chair for home let alone $1500.

Yep... The infamous Staples Global "Executive Chair". I got mine on sale for $50, and so did my Dad and a bunch of other people I know!

The web says that it has a lifetime warranty! Make 'em give you a replacement!

I had the same problem. I tested 3 different chairs over the course of a few months and just did not like the Aeron Herman Miller chair. Lucky all 3 chairs I was able to return without any money out of my pocket so I didn't loose money on shipping and handling to me or return shipping and handling back to them. Finally tested a chair that I loved though. Basically everything you can adjust on it. Armrests, seat, back, etc.

I didn't know what to do! I have been sitting on the amputated rolling platform of back pain. I can't stand the pressure, the lack of lumbar support. Which side is the front? Which is the back? So today, I decided to do something about it:

Replacement 1
Replacement 2
Replacement 3

I had the same chair and in broke in the same spot... actually one side broke first so it was lop sided for a few months before the other side gave up the ghost.

I kept the stand/seat portion around to put my feet on.

Different people have different priorities. I personally think it's silly to spend $30,000 on a car that I only drive for 25 minutes each day. I spend a lot more time in my computer chair than in my car.

I used the same rational when I explained my purchase intentions to my girlfriend. She is sometimes less-than-thrilled with what I spend my money on. I also brought up the King-size, top-end Tempurpedic bed we are buying. For her.

Comfort is King.

I saw a man returning a chair broken just like that to Office Depot during the holidays. Thought it was just a fluke, but, looks like those chairs are apparently cheap for a reason. I travel quite a bit for my job and have had the opportunity to sit on the chairs like you bought, can't really say they feel more comfortable than my $200 Costco chair. My chair is ~10yrs old now and needs replacing but haven't found a nice executive one yet.

I guess. I just don't spend enough time in my computer chair at home to even consider spending that much.

So in other words that local office buiding that had a break-in and a few chairs stolen had nothing to do with you, huh?
