I don't think his antics will gain a very high percentage of acceptance on a national level.

Hispanics are not a monolithic block. Cubans respond very well to calls to defend against "socialism" and they are a huge block of the Hispanics in Florida. I also think the GOP as refined their ability to appeal to socially conservatives Hispanics of where there are many. So again using culture war issues to get people to vote against their own actual freedoms and economic interests.

The important part is that they suffer nearly no consequences of getting caught, so what does it matter?
If a Republican crimes in the woods and no one pushes him, is it really crime?
