CBP screens ~2M via biometrics ... DAILY
I think that number is monthly not daily.
I looked at department of homeland security.

EDIT: I see they actually screen 1 million a day from CBP's web site.
"Almost a million times each day, CBP officers welcome international travelers into the U.S. In screening both foreign visitors and returning U.S. citizens, CBP uses a variety of techniques to assure that global tourism remains safe and strong. Descriptions of CBP processes and programs are available for first-time and frequent travelers. "

Here is the question though; why didn’t he simply fact check that claim himself? Why not take the two seconds it takes to do a Google search and find out if the claims of an open border have any truth to it?

If I were to hear such a claim I would first want to know what is the qualification for that statement, how are we measuring this? Are we using border apprehensions? Total number of asylum seekers? Arrests only? The amount of wall breaches?
My next question would be; do we have metrics to track any of these? If so, how far back do these metrics go? Have they changed how these numbers are calculated?
I would then want to know; are there any events that would cause spikes/dips like major wars/weather/natural disasters/political upheavals etc.

Those are just some of the questions I would ask upon hearing such a claim as the border being less secure or there being an influx of illegal immigrants, or open borders. But pcgeek, apparently, didn’t even bother asking a single question upon hearing a claim that supported his feels. Why not? What is it that prevents him and many people like him from simply asking themselves basic questions about a subject?

No one said anything about imminent collapse of society. So you can reclaim your lying comment.

If you think there are restraints for entry at the border you are delusional. Just look at the numbers coming in. The Drugs, the gotaways and human smuggling.

If there were no restraints you wouldn't have millions of people being arrested, you dumb lying asshole

It's not just entry either. Covers exit, cruise passengers, pedestrian (also entry and exit), and now some foreign airports as well. All through CBP.

Point being, there's plenty of observation ...

Seems that pretty much any person with a shred of integrity could connect these two dots. But I’m really not surprised pcgeek can’t or won’t. Either way, that’s on him.

So what is driving it now since the democrats have opened the border with no restraints?
Earlier you cited all the arrests and seized drugs as evidence the border was ‘out of control’. If the democrats have opened the border with no restraints who is arresting all these people?

The best part is he’s like ‘there are no restraints on the border’ and when you ask him to support it he references all the people we are arresting and all the drugs being seized. I bet those people feel restrained!

When you take them into custody and then release them into the US what have you accomplished?

1) You have complied with US asylum law. Are you saying Biden should violate it like Trump did?

2) They are tracked after entering the US again, in compliance with US asylum law.

Most importantly though this is not something new Biden is doing, it's been the US law for a long time now. If you don't like it, tell Republicans to stop blocking immigration laws. You said they aren't being restrained and that's obviously, undeniably false.

The main immigration issue facing us is, as others have said, that Republicans correctly view immigration problems as politically helpful for them so they have a strong incentive to ensure none of these problems are ever fixed. Hence why they always block immigration reform.

From 2017 to 2019 Republicans controlled the entire federal government, complained about an immigration crisis, and did nothing to fix it. If anything they made it worse by watching Trump violate federal law left and right and not stopping him.

@pcGeek, if you actually care about reforming America’s immigration system that means straight ticket federal democrat voting for you for the foreseeable future. If you would rather it never be fixed so conservatives can profit electorally then you can carry on. The real goal for you should be a solid democratic House majority and maybe 55 democratic senators. That way republicans can still influence the bill but all the nativist crazies will be sidelined.

There are very few areas that fall outside of BPs jurisdiction due to the number of International Airports we have. All points of entry fall under BP.

I haven't seen them use that "within 100 miles of the border" argument to apply to international airports. Yet.

Mayor Pete will be POTUS in the future. Only thing is, will Harris see her approval ratings and step aside?
Harris...Harris...I seem to recall someone by that name in politics....
For VP Harris to step any more aside she would have to cease to exist at all.
