you're in for a rude awakening when your parents stop paying your credit card bills and everything else.

You could be doing something to better youself and make yourself more marketable (i.e. certs or learning a foreign language).

maybe you should raise that GPA, and make your parents proud of something they work so hard for...

despite my efforts in monster.com

I think you need to redefine "effort". Posting a resume on one website harldy counts as "effort". Have you tried looking through the newspaper? How about your school's job listings? You drive around town and stop at places that you might like to work and ask if you can apply?

That's effort. you haven't done jack sh!t.

MAybe you won't feel that bad if you could only get your GPA above 3.0. That's the least you can do for them IMHO.

Oh yeah, posting here won't help. :)

you ain't got a chance in hell for a real job until you get your gpa above a 3.0 if you have 0 experience.

I see a deep frier in your future...

Seriously, get off your ass and get SOMETHING.

Face it, you won't be making good money. You have to start somewhere.

Forget Monster, get out & hit the fast food joints.

Flip burgers & cook fries, teach yourself how to work.

You can only go up from there.

Skip the fast food, go work in a warehouse or something. Manual labor will get you in shape, put meat on your bones.

You won't be happy working at Mc's or Wendy's, but a good job driving a forklift or loading trucks will do wonders for your confidence.

Those places are also much less tolerant of lazy f***s who don't know how to work.

He'll fit right in with the high-schoolers in fast food.

3) mopped floor at said chinese food restaurant
4) worked as gofer at university comp sci building

so true  i hate people that come into my work and just sit there like a bump on a rug with us bitching at them cause they are so lazy we've got to put their workload on our shoulders.
