Be wary of the ones with TRD exhaust yo.

The other day I was in the Camry getting gas and some kid on the opposite side with a dropped pristine new tC was side eyeing me and smirking... biyatch puhleaze.

I had some guy revving at me in an older slammed Civic at a light a few months ago. As soon as the light changed and he dropped the hammer I heard a loud bang followed by him coasting to a stop in the middle of the road and switching on his flashers. I laughed my ass off as I drove by him.

I have no idea what he did to it but it sounded bad... really bad.

Definitely going to mod it. First probably the smoked corners, CF fender grills and maybe a CSL trunk lid. Some upgrades to the speakers/sub. Upgrade the navigation to current and add in iPod integration. Figure out the security I have.

I want the 3.91 rear end...maybe intake and a tune. Debating exhaust mods just due to not wanting an obnoxious car...

The blemishes I want to get sorted out right away...not bad at all though.

sounds like a good plan. definitely get the CSL trunk lid, i think they really look good. also, look into the CSL front bumper too, they look good and have a hole for ur intake. u might wanna do a new exhaust as the stock one is heavy and maybe throw on some new headers. i heard an x-pipe will help get rid of the rasp those motors make. check out bimmerforums e46 m3 section (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=68) if u havent already.

happy modding and congrats on the purchase again.

Nice.

Aesthetically though, I still like the 1-series the most with bimmers.

Nice ride OP, at $36K though I would want something factory fresh with a full warranty but it is an expensive car to buy new so I guess it's priced appropriately, looks like you'll be having fun with that baby!..

It's only got 25k on it...warranties don't work so well for me as I tend to violate them rather quick.

I like a warranty on my wife's car though.

Well you would have to wonder if the car's event data recorder is set up on a performance car to remember over revs and spit that data out to a dealer's scan tool so they might be able to deny a warranty claim based on misuse of the drive train. "No wonder your valve train failed Mr Smith, you got to 7.5K 3 times in the last 2 months!"

I'd be OK...my rev limiter is at 8k ;)

I'm curious what the weight difference will be between all of this CF stuff and the stock parts, is there a way you can weigh them for us?

I'd skip the pedal covers, most of that type of stuff has gotten a bit cheesy in my opinion. The first aid boxes are awesome and well worth the money, same with the M mats. There's also a really nice rubber trunkmat and foldable box kit.

How about some decent tires, alignment, aftermarket rear shock mount (known failure point on these cars), CDV removal, have rear subframe welded, stiffer motor and trans mounts, diff mounts, rear sway bar bushings. Trans and diff fluid changes. I mean no one can see this stuff so you might not care..

Where would this be a weight savings?

I know the other details of this car. Again you are just going off on some tangent.

I upgrade the hidden stuff mostly.

I'm trying to figure out if you're only doing all of this crap for aesthetic purposes without turning an alky thread even further to shit. I suppose I got my answer, the only thing on your entire list that is 'hidden' are the storage boxes. I can't help much with the best way to apply stickers and fins with 3m tape so GL with that. Please do update us with pics though, some of those gray M3s with black accents look pretty good.

umm not done ordering

Add CPI Rasp eliminator pipes

Turner Motorsport Pedals

Hamann Front Lip Spoiler

AC Schnitzer 3 piece rear spoiler

The expensive goodies will have to wait a bit, 3.91 Dinan will be one of them.

Good call on the CPI pipes. My brother has them on his m3 and they were well worth it.

Not a fan of the angel eyes kit. Too ricey for teutonic masterpiece.

Nice to see you're not obsessing over this.

We'll see how many more new threads we get from the car purchase. I think we are at about three so far. I'm looking forward to:

E46 M3 Owners: Factory oil cap good enough, or order a new one?

E46 M3 Owners: Factory shift knob good enough or order new one?

E46 M3 Owners: Factory ashtray good enough or order new one?
