a) Manning fumbled twice, both the Ravens recovered and the refs saved one.
b) Manning's Pick 6 could have went either way, it was a bang bang play (.5 second or less early on the receiver). Officials aren't going to call that in the playoffs unless it's obvious (1 second or more early on contact).
c) Denver only had 2 TO's (not 3) and B.More had the deep ball on lockdown and Denver didn't want to chance a turnover. B.More loves to ballhawk and it was too risky to pass with B.More knowing that.

SB 42 sucked a lot, but Brady put that team in the position to win by taking the lead late in the game. Can't really ask for more than that from your QB in the SB. The Giants pressured the hell out of Brady all game, which is indeed why it was close. And you have to admit the Tyree play was some of the craziest, luckiest shit ever.

Sure, there was plenty of blame to go around but all he had to do was play deep and not let the receiver get behind him....simple and he didn't do it. I've never seen a single post of yours critical of Brady, whereas I have been critical of Manning. As a matter-of-fact, on another board, I posted that the next Manning Passing Academy should have a class taught by Eli on clutch performances and Peyton should attend as a student.

Your problem with the "single play costing games" argument is that you ignore a colossal collapse of the Pats D that took away any margin for error. That is a completely unacceptable turn of events and yet you pin the blame on some clueless, below average receiver who made a single mistake at the wrong time while ignoring that Brady had the Pats near mid-field when he threw an INT to the Colts to ice it. Did Caldwell's play contribute to the loss? Absolutely, but so did Brady's INT. Neither player should've been placed in that position. As I told you before, I'm sure Belichick blames his defense for that loss more than any single component. Where is your analysis of all the plays the Pats D botched? I don't think you can write it off as a poor decision just because of one loss. Part of what makes the NFL entertaining is that there are no guarantees. If they had 7 game series like baseball and they lost that then yeah, that would be a more damning indictment of Denver's strategy.

The Ravens were also not the second rate, bush league team that some people were making them out to be. Sure they have their issues but they've been competitive in the playoffs for five straight years. It's not as if Denver lost to say, the Jets.

I didn't exactly "shit talk" them. You have me confused with AMDZen. Yes, I didn't think they'd win and thought the Broncos would win by 2 TDs. I was wrong. However, I learned my lesson cheering on the Ravens in past years. I'll never bet on them winning again. If they do win, great, but I've been burned by them before. I won't even watch the games this weekend in all likelihood.

And unlike certain individuals here, I can give the Ravens props for their performance the last couple of weeks. I think it will end for them this weekend though.

P.S. If I had to pick two QBs to win a game for me in the last two minutes, want to guess who I'd pick? I might surprise you.
