Dems didn't lose white men primarily because of race, but because Dems don't offer them anything

What do you mean “feels” it helped them. Since most of the cuts went to the rich how exactly did it help them?
By freeing (actually subsidizing) private equity into the housing market, the 2017 tax changes had the side effect of greatly benefiting existing residential property owners. Which are disproportionately suburban white swing voters.

If what you say is true that would come into play when selling. Not enough for any effect

The issue is important because racists make it important. Because of course the issue of race is important to racists.
Normal people don't feel the same way.
So you would admit that people like Farrakhan are racists just like Duke, etc.
Normal people are racist but they don't know it, since ALL white people are racist, according to liberals like Robin DiAngelo.

You can't be a normal, nonracist, antiracist white person because RACE has to be considered in everything, or else you are forgetting that race exists...

Can't be colorblind anymore, remember?

I'm just saying what progressives have been preaching for years now, so don't come after me.

We are all racist. All of us, including minorities.

Why would I care if some light-brown colored person said that if I am White I'm a racist. I could give a shit what she thinks. Clearly if she thinks that because I am White I obviously feel superior to her, you can bet she is right. I certainly have some kind of advantage because I can think. She needs to use racism the way it is defined and not make shit up. Why would you even bring up such a clown. I could spend a week at the beach and be blacker than her.

Yo
Equity doesn't need to be sold in order to be realized.
u really think there are enough middle class people <70K that benefitted enough to make that kind of difference? Remember these are the same people that think Biden caused high gas prices.

I don't vote to "get" anything, I do vote to keep what is left of the environment, to keep religion out of government and general society as much as possible, to keep bigotry under a rock and smash it when it peeks out. I vote to try to reign in wealth inequality, which is bonkers and only getting worse. Trump's tax "reform" did a ton to help out those poor millionaires paying all those onerous taxes for example. And speaking of Trump, keeping our government from becoming a fascist dictatorship is something I'm interested in as well. He's making all the right (wrong) noises and he's always been envious of the power Duterte/Putin/Kim etc all have to wave their hands and make things happen without pesky balance to reign him in.

The Democrats offer me quite a bit by not being nearly as shitty as the GOP. I have no problem whatsoever voting lesser evil. My wife and I make enough money that I might marginally come out a bit ahead under a Republican but I don't think they are good for the country or the world. The Democrats might not be "great" but again, lesser evil makes them an easy choice. It's like picking a way home through rush hour traffic--no way is fun or easy, you pick the least bad option.

RFK is a right-wing supported anti-vax loon. Anyone anti-vax is never going to get my vote, and anyone thinking that way in regular life I try to avoid. One of my coworkers is antivax and borderline qAnon and I deal with him as little as possible, and never talk politics. The hope for RFK is that he draws more GOP votes than Democrats. One can hope.

That same coworker likes to go on about how white men are picked on in today's world. Cry me a fucking river. You just enjoyed 300 years of being on top in King of the Mountain, so now sharing the hill feels like you are being ground underfoot. Buncha babies.

I've said many times any single individual is capable of being racist but answer the following.

Who is primarily responsible for racism in America, White people or people of color?

Obviously white people. Does that make ALL white people, as progressives like you feel, racist?

Because that is how a lot of minorities view you.

All white people are inherently racist, including white Latinos.....

Get with the program.

Bad people always try to justify their behavior by pointing at others.

Some people are racist, it's true. You're a racist, no question that the issue of race is of upmost importance to you.
Most people, however, are not racist though. They don't believe in your authoritarian bullshit that our fates must be locked from birth and everything about us controlled by small differences in skin color.

Now go fuck yourself.

Just because you're white and a racist doesn't make ALL white people racist. And just because one or 2 or even a few progressives think all white people does not mean all progressives think all white people are racists.

The real issue is why do YOU pollute these forums with nothing but bad faith arguments intended to divide people on race?

BTW, critical race theory (since you brought it up) is the study that the entire concept of race is a social construct with no actual basis in reality. That race was invented by people to justify oppression and division. And that racism is the ideology that these constructed races are somehow real and have meaningful differences outside of the apparent physical differences. All things I'm very inclined to agree with. Particularly when talking with an adherent of race ideology like yourself.

I never said that, inferred that or tried to offer up any evidence of that. But you keep projecting.

Today the Republican Party is the racist party. They support and associate with white nationalists and antisemites. Can you say the same for Democrats?

They suppress votes and disenfranchise political power of blacks. Can you say the same for Democrats against whites?

It's an important and popular fact that, unlike the rugged individualists that are centrists and conservatives, progressives share one single hivemind that is incapable of internal disagreement. Why, we've even coined a phrase for it, "where we go one, we go all".

Wait, was that not us? Damn this communist hivemind, it never works right

No, but you do realize Dems have a problem connecting to white middle class voters, right? You do realize a majority of white and Latino cops are MAGA right now, or MAGA-leaning, giving Republicans an edge?

Based on the makeup of MAGATs if Dems move to repeal the Voting Rights Act that would help satisfy them. I’ll be calling my local representative with the suggestion.

Dems have a problem with racists, which is one of the reasons why you are so unwelcome around here

You don't need to do that, you just have to acknowledge that cops have a tough job, most cops go on Fox and complain all day long
