Yes, there's no need for civil discourse. You are equal to those you denigrate.

The right just wants to see less government and less taxes.

Bullshit.

You increased the Government bigger than anytime in history.

The problem was you did it without raising taxes on those that can afford to make the government bigger resulting in this massive mess of destroying the country.

You haven't learned and still pushing for the same America destroying crap.

Why do you stay here?

Isn't this exactly what Obama said he would fight against (these partisan divisions)? Two wrongs don't make a right.

Its tongue-in-cheeck bashing. "America: Love it or Leave it" has been a fixture of the right for decades, so now its fun to turn that around.

You know its a joke since, lefties could always realistically move to Canada or Europe, but righties don't actually have anywhere to go.

It was more like "You're either with us or against us".

I don't care where they go, they don't belong here with their Constitution hating views.

Nobody's going anywhere. Hell, we can't get other countries to take a few pesky Arabs and Chinese from Gitmo, so why would any of them want a bunch of disaffected Americans?

LOL. I can't even stay in England longer than 6 months, and my mother is English. For all the talk of globalization, no country seems to be actually in favor of allowing free integration of peoples. The English now have to apply to the American Embassy to come here to visit for just 3 months. Before, all they had to do was show up at the airport. All countries are tightening their entry visa requirements. Try going to France with only $500 in your pocket even if you have a return ticket. Those days of bumming around the continent are over.

Our country was founded by men who finally got so fed up, they eventually answered with "fine, we will leave, assholes."

The result was the creation of the greatest country ever.

Indeed.

Repubs are also quick to forget that, along with the "with us or against us" date rape version of nuclear option bipartisanship they've practiced under Bush's leadership...

Dems won't play it nearly the same way- we're soft-headed liberals, after all...

Yes it was. I am living in Minuteman country in New Jersey at the moment and you can feel it.

Why are the resident Republcans still here?

Certainly they would be happier making their own version of what they feel would be the greatest country ever with their own Constitution because they hate the American one.

The notion that one hates America is relative to what one's idea of what America is.

From where I stand, it is you who hates this country and is free to leave. Ironically, it is your vision of our country that will inevitably result in my inability to leave.

Ummm no.

The difference is Dems believe in the Constitution, human rights and science.

In other words we belive in America.

Anti-Americans have no right to complain and must leave.
I agree, now what does that have to do with Republicans?

Now, that is in fact true.

I'm sure they feel as stuck with you as you do with them. Neither of you can force the other to move. At least we still have some freedom left.

Me, I feel like there are

Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.

What would happen if they did just all go away? If many of us just moved to another country?

Who would pay for all the social programs? ;)

No true liberal would ever even think of enunciating a statement with a connotation such as what you have written. It just wouldn't enter their mind.

The farther to the left on the political spectrum, the further you get away from the spirit in this idea of my way or the highway.

This is the very reason why the right wins in politics most of the time. It's simply more homogeneous, more simple to recognize any variation from an ideological point.

If anyone is saying this, then those people have migrated to the Right side of center.

Well we just saw what complete Republican rule looks like the last 8 years. It hasn't been pretty and they damn near destroyed the fabric of this nation.

I can't tell you how relieved and hopeful I am in America bouncing back now that we have a competent President and enough of a majority to get things done in Congress. It's going to take a long while before we can undo the mess the Republicans left. It was like they had this disgusting stranglehold on our country and they were sucking the life dry, Obama winning and getting elected caused a collective sigh of relief amongst Americans and people all around the world. A better day is ahead for us, you can either choose to support your new President Obama or you can stick your head in the sand and bitch and moan. I don't care.

First, not all conservatives have been saying that. Unfortunately, some very loud idiots have been, but it's certainly not "all".

Second, it is very interesting to me how the people who are now saying "it's our turn" to say it are the very same people who called conservatives who said it "childish". Way to take the high road guys. You stay classy like that.

No, we did not see "complete Republican rule". We saw a corrupt perversion of Republicanism that pandered to the religious right and expanded the role of government in ways that should make any true Republican sick and ashamed.

The Republicans have been over-spending in ridiculous amounts and focusing on regulating the bedroom instead of the boardroom. That is not true Republicanism and I am very proud to say that I did not support the Republican party in this election for this very reason.

Yea thanks. If only you partisan hacks had done the right thing in '04 and not reelected Bush this country may have avoided the even bigger calamity that was Bush's 2nd term.
