It tells me you need to go ahead and write the check. Their fundraising attempt has been a huge success with you.

All the dems need to do to win is hand out microphones to the right wing nutjobs and then up the volume.

Because this impeachment stupid idea is so different then all the other stupid ideas they've acted on.

How's that lawsuit coming? When can we look forward to defaulting on our debt? Can we shut down the govt too? That made lots of people happy.

Clowns.

Of course the democrats are playing it up. The average republican is in favor of the idea and the rest of America hates it. When your opponents support something unpopular you try to remind everyone of it.

Why is this a shock?

Did you ever actually read the articles of impeachment against Clinton? Probably not. I went to CNN to get them, not Fox. Wow! No mention of a blue dress, aka his misconduct with Monica. Neither party is jack sh*t these days, but you're just another butt-hurt lib.

The point being what?

Considering the blowback the GOP received for impeaching Clinton, do they have motivation for conjuring up those memories? Of course.

But why does that even have any traction? Because it's completely consistent with right wing behavior for the last 20 years.

They impeached Clinton "over a blue dress".
They invaded Iraq under false pretenses, blew $1T and thousands of american lives and said nothing.
They vowed to make Obama a one term president.
They called him a fake and a fraud and every nasty name in the book.
They've launched an ill conceived lawsuit over something we don't really understand yet.
They've shut the govt down and threatened felt on multiple occasions.

Oh, but impeachment? That's too far fetched for this crowd! What are they, out of control loons? Impossible!

So too was shut down. But the same people pushing that crazy idea that came to be are the same ones talking impeachment now.

It's part offense and part defense by the dems. Punish them for their foolishness now, hoping to embarrass them enough to keep them from actually trying it.

Good lord, the democrats fight back for one and it makes news. What does that tell you?

Obama is getting sued by the GOP because he took too long to get ACA up and running - which was due to GOP opposition.

And now, the reaction to impeachment is being criticized by conservatives, by the very people who have been calling for impeachment; conservatives.

It is just another one of the usual 'tricks' of the outdated and defective conservative mind; their actions are now under the spot light, and they are shifting the issue over to the person they are assaulting.

It isn't that I am a blaring irrelevant defective false alarm, it is that you are hearing it.

Yup, business as usual.

I have to admit righties have this strategy down cold.

If you point out someone's actions you are guilty of the same action.

Like the race card retort, pointing out racism makes you a racist.

So talking about Republicans threatening impeachment makes you guilty of wanting to impeach.

Yet you are upset. It sounds like you've got it in the bag.

Duh, the impeachment is a fabrication by Democrats. Read that over and over real slow until you get it.

How's that lawsuit coming? When can we look forward to defaulting on our debt? Can we shut down the govt too? That made lots of people happy.
So the inference is that the lawsuit will tie up the House to the extent that they won't be able to accomplish anything else? There are over 340 bills that came out of the House sitting on Harry Reid's desk collecting dust. It appears that the House can do their jobs very, very well under Republican leadership. The Senate under Democrat leadership - not so much.

I find the thought processes of progz like yourself fascinating. One part crazy, one part adolescent, one part emo mixed together with a heaping dose of perceived superiority. The end result is always the same. Wrong, but indignant proclamations of righteousness. We're going to reach a time in this nation where we will no longer be able to humor these illogical thinking processes. I hope we come to that point before it's too late. Logic must supersede emotion.

Apparently, "King" Obama has done so many impeachable offenses, none of these wingnuts in or out of Congress can bother to list them for public consumption. If the president has committed so many impeachable offenses, how come these people never name even one, specifically?

YES, according to some teabags he's a ruthless tyrannical dictator who is also a feckless, do-nothing weakling. Lol!, I'm really not sure how that works. Not only is Barak Obama a communist fascist radical christian muslim. Now he's a weak tyrant. Sorry Sarah Palin...Under real tyranny, there would be no living supporters of impeachment.

Even the clowns who are pushing the "impeachment" meme openly admit it's for nothing more than political reasons. They themselves know it's nonsense and an actual impeachment would be suicidal. Impeachment is just red meat to keep sucking money out of the rubes. It will work perfectly.

There are over 340 bills that came out of the House sitting on Harry Reid's desk collecting dust. It appears that the House can do their jobs very, very well under Republican leadership. The Senate under Democrat leadership - not so much.

Here's a small sample of the kinds of bills Boehner and his crew in the House are trying to pass and the deception they are infamous for being called out and refuted:

http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/gops-claim-house-passed-30-jobs-bills-bogus

I can just imagine what the rest of those House passed bills look like and who they're really intended to benefit.

Just let me say that my main concern over what the Repubs want to pass into law is, as anyone who cares to spend some time researching, how the overwhelming majority of Repub legislation, whether from the House or Senate, is geared toward benefiting the very rich at the expense of everyone else.

This idea of "small government" being a lofty ideological goal is merely a sloppy paint job that is trying to hide a wall covered with posters that promote the plutocratic form of government, which hilariously so, make the titles of these Repub sponsored bills and the actual intent of those bills a perfect example of what I'm referring to.

Why Harry Reid, who champions the causes of the middle class and the poor would never ever want to go anywhere near these House passed bills that exclusively favor the rich and powerful is pretty damn obvious.

Getting back on topic, I understand why the Repubs up on the hill are obligated to toss red meat out to their base, but I really do think this is another one of those stunts that is going to backfire on them........again.

Can you be sure GOP won't impeach Obama? The tea party inmates are running the asylum over there, I wouldn't put it past them.

Last time I checked the Senate had a democrat majority. What would impeachment do other than give all the liberals here and mainstream media the opportunity to shout racist at the people who would initiate impeachment against the first black president.

I agree that the majority of Republicans would welcome impeachment. I also believe that partisan Democrats would strongly disagree, but that's where my agreement ends. "The rests of America hates it"? America doesn't care about the government using NSA acquired data used against it's citizens. It doesn't care about foreign policy in Syria or the ME in general. It doesn't like Congress. It doesn't care about Obama. In truth it really doesn't care about much of any of the things we here that we discuss. I think the "Mr and Ms Average American" feels almost nothing about DC and the nonsense which goes on. Obama and impeachment? Weird. Hate? No. Strong emotions don't apply.

Anyone who uses the term "butt-hurt" just loses any credibility of being a rational person. The English language is vast. Explore it.

I thought this was a good read.

This was the beginning of a half-crazed weekend begathon by the Democrats. The next afternoon: “Sorry to email you early on a Saturday—but we’re on full RED ALERT at Democratic Head-quarters…According to our records, you haven’t chipped in since Republicans authorized a vote to sue President Obama.” (Or ever chipped in, for that matter.) And Sunday: “MAJOR UPDATE: House Republicans held a closed-door meeting to discuss impeaching President Obama.” On Monday I received a cranky email from Obama himself: “Joe Biden has emailed you. Michelle has emailed you. And now I’ve emailed you. We wouldn’t all be asking if it wasn’t so important. Right now, Republicans in Congress are trying to sue me for simply doing my job.” Later that day, the DCCC re-sent me that email: “Did you see this? President Obama emailed you this morning.”

...

So, this is smart strategy on the part of the Obama political operation, right? Well, grudgingly, yes. But it’s also cynical as hell. The White House is playing with fire, raising the heat in a country that is already brain-fried by partisan frenzy. There is something unseemly, and unprecedented, about an administration saying “Bring it on” when it comes to impeachment.

Lacking votes in the Senate hasn't stopped the GOP from impeaching Clinton.
But your main problem is that you are assuming GOP are rational actors. What did shutting down the government do for them? But they did it anyways.

You know it could all be a brilliant scheme cooked up by the Republicans.

Work the Democrats up into a frenzy about an impeachment they have no intention of doing anything about. Democrats look like crazy idiots. Republicans get votes of rational people.

Ignorant and rational are not synonymous. Neither are brilliant and hair-brained.

Ask 10 people on the street what Clinton was impeached and guess how many will quote the articles of impeachment or the Starr report. You honestly think a vast majority will quote that?

Do you not understand how politics work? Avg voter can't name the speaker of the house, and you think they will recall something like that for nearly 20 years ago?

Here's what the survey says: Monica, blue dress, cigar, petty Republicans being dicks.

So go ahead. Try to make that argument that the gop has always acted reasonable, just like what they are doing now. Sure.

BTW, what am I supposed to be "butt hurt" about? The skill of the GOP to make themselves look stupid? Might want to think thru that logic again.

Impeach Obama on the grounds that ObamaCare is Socilalism, and that people are no longer free to make health care decisions.
