The far leftist to MAGA fascist pipeline seen on social media is real.

Sadly I saw this exact thing happening a lot in NY as I've spoken to many times here.

Leftys want a revolution too with their own ideals.. but when dem party says we're fine, no need to break the system and they're they're asking too much.. like that famous Feinstein moment a few years ago..

People go.. oh yeah bitch.. watch me fuck you over by voting for Trump and then lets see how you like it!

NYC is run by a bunch of clowns. And if voters are upset about that, they need only look into a fucking mirror.

What was the turnout in the primary for mayor? How often are people actually bothering to contact their city councilors?

You know, maybe NYC could improve a bit if they didn't elect the corrupt former cop who lived in NJ.

You should see who is running the country.

I am well aware of who is running the country. As a resident of the NYC area, you may recall the year Adams was elected. Many of Indus's complaints can be traced directly to actions the city government can (but does not) address.

Having lived in NY for 25 years, with 7 years in NYC, I have a special place in my heart for NY/NYC. And it didn't always have some corrupt shithead running the show.

i know 4 years is a long ways away but this is disconcerting

Yep, I said all along the chances were strong that Harris who checked all the DEI and identity politics boxes, (along with being the sitting VP at the time) would in all likelihood have been the 2024 nominee, even if Biden had resigned in time for a true open primary. I never did buy into the rhetoric that there was some magic candidate waiting in the wings to step forward who would have defeated Trump. The only person on that list that I think really would resonate with the voters as a whole is Stephen A. Smith. Maybe he could be the Trump of the Dems: a media personality, speaks his mind in plain words with no filter, and is an outsider who wants to shake things up. I thought by 2028 people would be so sick of Trump and his agenda that there was no way the Dems could lose. Looking at this list, well, I am not so sure.

Pritzker isn't on there?

Someone put that guy on Ozempic and keep putting a camera in front of him.

Bonus points for him being from Illinois, should activate some Obama Chicagoland PTSD among the fascists.

Jeffries is a tool. So his solution is to turn into basically - a statue of Aaron Judge.

I actually kind of like Jeffries, but yea, this is a pretty clueless statement. Pretty much every "pitch" (both his appointments and executive orders) the Reps are throwing is one you are obligated to swing at if you really want to support any kind of functional, non-facist government. Also very concerning is the lack of resistance to Trumps appointments and agenda from the general population. There should be marches in the streets protesting nearly everything Trump is doing, but all we get is crickets.

IMO it's not SAS but someone like SAS that could resonate. But until the Dems combat the media ecosystem problem, they're fighting a huge uphill battle.

There’s a general lack of awareness when it comes to some Dems and how their words are being perceived. Even though I’m not the average idiot voter and I can parse words and understand meaning, part of my lizard brain activates whenever I see Schumer tilt his head and look down his nose specs while speaking to the camera in that nasally accent of his—part of me just wants to punch him in the face for “talking down” to me when he’s reading a prompter. I imagine that’s all the FOX News consumers see and they stop listening. Hillary had similar issues with the shrillness of her voice and stiff posture.

AOC and Buttigieg are better communicators, but there are misogynists on both sides of the aisle and when they see AOC they just see crazy eyes, and I’m sure there are blue collar Democrats who see Buttigieg and can’t get over the feeling he’s an “over-educated i love you”.

I’m not saying that these Dems can’t overcome these perceptions. But they need the right coaching to navigate how they come across in 15 second sound bites and to remember that body language plays a big part in how their messaging is received. It’s something the Right has had more practice with since the Tea Party movement thanks to Alex Jones, FOX News and a host of friendly influencers.

What's weird, until he became majority leader, you couldn't get him away from a camera. Then he seemed to have disappeared only to put up some mealy mouth frustration with the Pubs.

Sorry could only find the entire thread on X...but worth reading Dave Weigel's tweet. Disarray doesn't even begin to describe it.

I mean they look fucking cooked and the shit the leadership is saying shows they have no fucking clue what's going on or what to do.

It's looking really bad. The Republicans are pure evil and the Democrats are incompetent pathetic fools.

I think a lot of these Dem Senators are just out of touch leading mostly cushy lives, lobbyists courting them, they are too busy living the good life to be bothered to realize what's going on, after all, they feel pretty good about their needs.

Fuck them all.

I would suspect that for some stuff, they're not going to broadcast every move online.
I'm waiting for them to do something actually productive in public before I think they have some secret offline agenda to stop fascism for the first time of any party in history after this shit has happened. I really don't think the Democrats have their shit together in that sense. In fact I'm 110% positive.

The sooner the Dem party goes the better. We need something capable to rise up in it's place..

They gave us Biden again. They failed us completely in the run up to defeat Trump and left Kamala holding the bag. They are also incapable now. They are a failed party and need to disappear.
