The clintons were largely responsible for steering the party centrist (welfare reform, rather corporate, etc), which props to them wins elections. That's reality of the matter even if we can argue the exact location of markers on the field.

On this we agree. The history of the modern Democratic party who were continuing the policies of FDR were being push to the side when they showed up. I don't even want to get into the SLC crap. Still the alternative is unthinkable especially this time around. I think I could of actually lived with the idea of Romney being president, but I just can't even grasp what people are thinking with Trump possibly being president.

So you watched the shitshow convention, didn't you Perk? What the "Bernie bot" said was absolutely true for anyone who saw it. Every seat was filled. They replaced the Bernie delegates' seats with seat fillers (to where Bernie del's couldn't even get back to their seats if they wanted to the next day). That is pathetic, but at least the movie set looked good. "Our party is unified, look everyone!"

Dude, you are a case. You take a side and defend it with whatever you can find, truth be damned. That's you. You have nothing better to do? Well, do whatever you like with your petty life. However, unless you change you aren't going to earn real respect.

Speedy's post consisted of strung together hype and outright bull.
...
At most, a couple hundred walked out.

NBC News :

How Sanders Delegates Organized a Walkout Under Everyone's Nose

Yet no one seemed aware that hundreds of Bernie Sanders delegates planned to walk out of the Democratic National Convention in unison Tuesday, at the precise moment party unity was supposed to reach a crescendo.
...
The several hundred delegates stormed out of the convention hall before quietly sitting down and occupying the press tent, aware of how to maximize their leverage. Police surrounded the tent, and refused to let anyone in or out until the situation was resolved.

That surprise was by design, but also a product of the fact that the walkout came together in only the final minutes, according to interviews with more than a dozen organizers. Word spread through various delegations by word of mouth and text message like a wave during the roll call vote of the states.
...
Paranoid about being discovered, walkout organizers kept more prominent groups at bay...
..
Eventually, they organized themselves in several secret Slack channels and Facebook groups, the largest of which had over 1,250 delegate members.

Unless you were there, you don't know how many walked out.

Keep spinning.

You guys gotta stop taking Speedy seriously. He's clearly working for Clinton, provoking you guys to keep singing Dem hymns.

Link or die, Speedy. Your hysteria is showing.
Use your eyes Perky. Ever heard of something passing the eye test (a phrase commonly used in sports)? The convention didn't pass mine, it was packed to the brim. Go google the images. You shouldn't need someone to tell you that it should be obvious that hundreds of seats would've been empty. They weren't.

EDIT: just for you Perk.

Here is another one....

"Angry and frustrated with the Democratic Party, hundreds of supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Tuesday staged a walkout at the Democratic National Convention over what they claim was rigged primary process that wrongly handed the party nomination to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton."

How do you feel that the DNC is getting higher ratings than the RNC? Also, how do you feel about the fact that polling after Trump's speech gave it the lowest favorable ratings of any acceptance speech that's been measured?

I thought it was pretty amusing, haha.

is it popular because people want to hear the message or because they are waiting for the next shit show moment with protesters and or email leaks?

It will be interesting to see how Klinton does tonight, I presume the media will spin it as if its the best thing ever.

Is there a situation in which it was evaluated as being good where you would accept that as true?

I didn't see his post, but I for one am glad the DNC is getting high ratings.

That way people get to see stuff like this :

Something I've been wondering for a while is why Clinton didn't just put up Sanders for a running mate. It's a low cost high reward proposition.

If you look at the Obama victories, what really stands out is the young progressive vote that put him over the top.

Yet there's this old Clinton habit of always reaching for the center swing (ie middle age+ white). They really need to wake up that this class of folks aren't inclined to pick them over the GOP without massive concessions, while the enthusiastic future of this country is looking for a voice.

To me, it's sad they parade mothers of thugs (Brown) who died breaking the law, as an example that policing needs to change. Like they're some kind of martyr. Some terrible injustice was done to him. And nobody has a problem with this. Using BLM in a political race exposes a few things.

Hey did you notice the Democrats honoring families of fallen police officers? I no problem with both groups. Why are you such a prick?

The father of an American Muslim soldier who died in Iraq in the service of our country, "Donald Trump, you have sacrificed NOTHING."

The parents of the killed muslim american soldier and the retired general were very powerful. It shows how much of a pussy donald trump and the republicans have become when it comes to our military. You can sum it up with the picture of those suckered war vets standing behind him on memorial day when he didnt donate jack shit to them until the media called him out on it.

Donald sacrificed NOTHING.
We MUST stick with our allies in NATO and east Asia
USA!

Hillary may not have been in the service, but she spent her life in public service and gets it.

Now, General John Allen of the Marines, former Commander, US Forces in Afghanistan, standing with 37 vets on the stage behind him, asking us all to vote for Hilary Clinton, "For we are the greatest country on the face of the earth."

"Hilary Clinton will be exactly the kind of CIC America needs. I know this because I served with her."

Just some on the fly snippets from a very strong speech from a warrior and a patriot.

Not like Hillary has sacrificed anything either.

She has served he country in multiple roles. Trump has not. Hilary has bigger balls and more capable hands than Donald . . . or is it more capable balls and bigger hands than that spray tanned rich kid wannabe bully?
