I watched some of the DNC with a democrat. Discussing a little politics with this person was pretty depressing.

She didn't know about the DNC email leaks, or what WikiLeaks was, or who DNC Chairwoman Schultz was, or anything regarding recent DNC election fraud.... and she told me that the people who were protesting were just crybaby Bernie supporters, who were sore losers about Bernie not winning.

I hope that #demexit and similar efforts, can at least hold the Democratic party accountable a little tiny bit, but I feel like it's hopeless. The average American voter is just too poorly informed.

none of that really matters because at the end of the day there's only 2 valid options: you are either voting for trump, or against a trump presidency via hillary clinton.

You say "DNC election fraud" as if it weren't just scurrilous innuendo and as if you're not just concern trolling.

He's one of those informed voters so...

It begs the question though: is it better for democracy if voters are uniformed or if voters are poorly informed? Of course an informed voter would be ideal but that's not the reality of the situation.

It would be better if they just didn't believe in lies of confirmation bias. They've been hatin' on Hillary so long that anything that gives them an excuse is instantly accepted as fact. No leap of faith is too big for them to accept.

I'm not concern trolling.... I read through a number of the emails myself, and found them pretty troubling.

Post the ones here that you were "troubled" about, and state exactly what you thought they revealed.

One example is where the DNC CFO suggested that Bernie's faith be brought up, because it would be damaging to his vote in KY and WA...

Of course yuo're concern trolling. "Oh,oh,oh! Oh you poor, poor Bernie supporters! So cheated! So oppressed! Oh, the evil DNC screwed you guys over so bad!"

I doubt you'd vote for Bernie if somebody were holding a gun to your head.

A suggestion promptly rejected. It never happened.

With a gun to my head, I probably would vote for Bernie, but you'd have to kill me if you were telling me to vote for Hillary.

That was pretty bad. Did you see the response to it?

I just saw emails from a bunch of people in the DNC talking about Bernie as if they were members of the Clinton campaign, and not neutral like they were supposed to be. I don't recall specifics on each email, I just kind of got the general feel, and felt it was pretty off-putting.

You know, before this last leak, I read through some DNC strategy documents, where it was clear they were supporting Clinton as well.

The response was, "no". As in don't do it.

Why should they be neutral?

I'm mystified by that very idea.

It seems the case that you've simply never been elsewhere in the world. For example in this china a good majority of brands on store shelves are foreign and a plurality of those are american.

No, it's simple reality that people who live cushy first world lifestyles find raising kids a relative burden in comparison. It's also a reality that greater education implies better decision making such as family planning instead of popping out spawn whenever. It's rather you who want the government to force them to have kids against their will or whatever this is.

I traveled to Asia and Europe more than a few times in the course of my career, so yeah, get bent.

Please, this whole "girl power" shit is nothing more than "go to europe, fuck a bunch of guys, don't have kids, then regret it later".

Not even close to forcing people to have kids, but the trend is moronic and the only way to make up for it is to let 12th century barbarians into our society to make up for the low birth rate. Wow, great job. So liberating. Let people in that force gays to get sex re-assignment, cut their vaginas up, iron their boobs down, stone rape victims...etc.

You voting Johnson?

I haven't made a decision yet, personally, but I am a fiscal conservative so the Libertarian Party isn't unappealing to me.

There's this opinion that if you don't vote for a democrat or republican, you're throwing out your vote, but as a fiscal conservative, why not vote Johnson? Might be more reasonable for my views than Trump. Perhaps some of these Bernie supporters line up more with Jill Stein than Clinton.

This 2 party system keeps bringing up people that we vote on as the lesser of 2 evils. Maybe that'll just continue until we actually start supporting other candidates that are less of a compromise, from these little parties like Green or Libertarian?

I have been encouraging everyone frustrated by the two main party candidates to vote for Johnson to try and break the duopoly that has stagnated most of our governance.

I hope it works out.

what a waste of a vote

I dunno. Clearly you're not going to win, this time, but at least you're showing the two main parties that they weren't supporting your interests enough to get your vote.... and if enough people go third party, it might make enough of an impact to encourage change.

It's that, or just vote for someone you hate again, but just merely hate a little less than the other candidate, and do nothing to support change. *shrug*

Sorry you think so. I think two parties are not enough parties.

I don't disagree with you, but voting for someone with no chance is wasting your vote.*

*waste as in the independent candidate has no actual chance of winning. You're not wasting it if you want a Trump presidency.
