Chelsea's intro did little for me. I'm not female and/or a mother/daughter so the string tugs they were getting at didn't hit me. And most of story telling didn't do anything to change any character opinions I had. The Morgan Freeman narrative was sort of cool even though the audio sync was was screwed up over my broadcast feed.
Hillary is not a great orator. We all knew that and she didn't do anything to change it. She just is not a captivating speaker and has the stage presence charm that Barack or Bill had. Truth is that I don't need a slick tongue in oval office. I just want someone with rational decisions and the ability to negotiate when needed. That I think she is capable of.
I thought she did a great job attacking Trump on his personality flaws and how his message of "I alone" is a massive joke. She banged the democratic drum and rallied around the party platform. Call it a stump or predictable, but she did make her party message clear. It will cost her the fence sitters that wanted a reason to jump from Trump. But I do think she will get back some of the Bernie supporters to make up for it.
I'm interested to see these two go to the debates.
