I am sorry, but you guys are being to rational about this.
For many people elections aren't about being rational. They are about not voting for Hillary because she is a bitch. They are about voting for Obama because he offers "hope." They are about not voting for Dukakis because he looks stupid riding in a tank. They are about voting for Bush over Gore and Kerry because Gore is condescending and talks down to people and Kerry is arrogant.
In the end the people who don't spend their days reading blogs and posting on-line about the candidates will vote for the person they personally like the most and the person they trust the most. And right now Obama is losing ground in both cases.
Unless they're reading blogs, posting online, or listening to hate radio, they're not even going to know about any of this (because it is, quite frankly, on a tabloid level beneath the MSM, as ABC discovered last night).
And Obama is not a bitch, he doesn't look stupid, he isn't condescending, doesn't talk down to people, and he isn't arrogant either.
Hell, he's so likable and has such amazing speaking abilities that IMO if he was white he'd be President already.
In the meantime, John McCain is... to be blunt... an old doofus, likable only to those who were never going to vote Dem in the first place. So who's losing ground? Personally, I can't wait for the debates in the fall.
