Democratic Convention - who is watching?

I watched Biden's speech, but that was all
That was a mistake. Biden's was a white knuckler. Good, better than anyone had a right to expect, but I was just waiting for the gears to start grinding, and they eventually did. Nothing catastrophic in the least, though. His was by far the longest speech, partly because the applause took up something like 10 minutes. Anyway, anyone curious should be able to find all the speeches up on YT. Every one was well worth taking in.

Michelle Obama is speaking tonight. Hopefully she says “When they go low we go high” was a bad, bad idea.
Otherwise no issues with her, she seems fun and smart.

Not only did the Democrats fill their convention hall in Chicago tonight, Kamala and Tim are in the same venue in Milwaukee that the RNC was held at, for a rally, and it's completely packed to the rafters as well.

Pretty damn awesome

Kamala and Walz are also not falling asleep at the convention, unlike low energy Donnie Boy.

He came off as a preacher, then I remembered that he is a preacher. He's genuine.
i think i posted this story before, but i was in the airport and i saw Warnock getting ready for a flight to georgia. even though i'm not from there, i really wanted to tell him how glad i was that he ran, was elected, and that he is an amazing human being. but he was already in conversation, so i didn't want to interrupt 🙁

Crazy energy. Walz was the right pick

so sad. so sad.

yeah, Walz is fucking crushing it. honestly, because of him MN is on my radar for places to move to. gotta do a little more research. yes it might be cold AF, but if it's with people like him? i think i that might be alright.

I watched a few minutes of Fox News. They reported on the anti-Israel protest more than the DNC speakers. Hannity had continous interviews with various pundits with part of the screen of the DNC but you couldn’t hear what was being said.

Watch it? Why?

That doesn't mean I'm not interested, but still, why? Decades ago, I remember watching probably both conventions, but this when we could get 3 channels on our antenna, but at least it was the 3 major networks, and probably all three were covering it.

With YouTube to cover the best speeches, or even just the best parts of the speeches, I don't even have the stamina to sit through hours and hours of what is likely dry.

Jesse Watters is ready to get to the truth about (checks notes) Obama’s birth certificate.

“Let’s just keep playing the greatest hits and hope the crowd sings along.

They dig any deeper in Hawai’i, they’re gonna hit magma. Actually, they passed magma a long time ago; they’re gonna hit Botswana.
And I suspect if was somewhere far less tropical like somewhere in Michigan they wouldn’t bother going.

Without knowing what the numbers are or when they will be available. When do we expect the former President to rage about the TV ratings for DNC vs RNC, particularly the acceptance speech viewership.
