So he's basically Dodson from Jurassic Park right down to the safari hat. "Dodson, look everyone it's Dodson!"

Hope he mostly got ignored.

Mike nobody gives a shit that you are "in disguise" or there at all. There's no secret plans, the lizard people aren't going to all take off their human disguises.

Making fun of a kid, stay classy Republicans. And I'd say the same thing to Democrats making fun of Barron for looking up to his dad, even though I don't. Fucking pieces of shit.

Coulter is a childless cat lady so she wouldn't know anything about kids emotions for their parents.
I LOVE how all these losers are super offended by being called “weird”.
I LOVE how they try to flip it around and it comes out mean and weird.
I have an idea Ann, stop being weird if you don’t want to be called weird.

Watched Walz's speech this morning, and I thought it was good.

Can't wait for Republicans to be weird and act like it's strange to say you love your kids and be emotional about it in public.
Too late. I haven't gotten far into the thread today, but I'm sure there some comments I'm going to see. Multiple examples of the usual deplorables comments on the tube already.
Edit: confirmed.

Say what you want about Democrates, but it's been since the Regan, and maybe McCain that the GOP had a member who was charismatic and could give a great speech. Clinton still has it, and I could probably listen to Obama talk for 3 hours straight. His wife was superb too. And Walz's energy is so good, I know the MAGAs are claiming he's a liar, I don't know much about him to pass that judgment. But he comes off as a very down to earth and good person. If that's all an act like they're claiming. the GOP should learn how to act because they're all terrible at giving speeches. They have Trump, Bush Jr and Hogan. As a kid I loved listening to Hogan cut a promo, but I don't want to hear him at a political convention.

Just off her speech alone too bad Michelle didn't run for president. Just imagine Trump losing to Obama's wife, that would lead to the biggest melt down the world has ever seen lol. And the MAGAs are upset that the DNC crowd is so vibrant, cheering and dancing around. How dare they celebrate when the borders are wide open and the economy's the worst it's ever been, and the country will go belly up unless Trump wins (according to them lol)

Like i say, I don't care about Barron, or Chelsea Clinton back in the day. Or whoever GWB's kids were, if he even had any. They shouldn't be fair game unless like Trump's grown kids they are 1) adults and 2) piping in on the politics

I like childless cat ladies, I purposely seek them out on dating apps.

There's one that I know in NJ.. she had a maga boyfriend who thought she'd change her mind on having kids and basically tried to force her.. so she had her tubes tied and announced that to him as leaving him present that he wasted years shooting blanks..

You should try and find her.. a real great girl.. hell of a lot more fun than Ann Coulter!

Ha. Great story. I don't think anyone that would date a MAGA for that long is for me though. Weird values. Unless she had an epiphany.

This is the speech that the uncommitted group want to be able to say at the DNC tonight. Approx 2 minutes. What do y'all think?

My name is Ruwa Romman, and I’m honored to be the first Palestinian elected to public office in the great state of Georgia and the first Palestinian to ever speak at the Democratic National Convention. My story begins in a small village near Jerusalem, called Suba, where my dad’s family is from. My mom’s roots trace back to Al Khalil, or Hebron. My parents, born in Jordan, brought us to Georgia when I was eight, where I now live with my wonderful husband and our sweet pets.

Growing up, my grandfather and I shared a special bond. He was my partner in mischief—whether it was sneaking me sweets from the bodega or slipping a $20 into my pocket with that familiar wink and smile. He was my rock, but he passed away a few years ago, never seeing Suba or any part of Palestine again. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss him.

This past year has been especially hard. As we’ve been moral witnesses to the massacres in Gaza, I’ve thought of him, wondering if this was the pain he knew too well. When we watched Palestinians displaced from one end of the Gaza Strip to the other I wanted to ask him how he found the strength to walk all those miles decades ago and leave everything behind.

But in this pain, I’ve also witnessed something profound—a beautiful, multifaith, multiracial, and multigenerational coalition rising from despair within our Democratic Party. For 320 days, we’ve stood together, demanding to enforce our laws on friend and foe alike to reach a ceasefire, end the killing of Palestinians, free all the Israeli and Palestinian hostages, and to begin the difficult work of building a path to collective peace and safety. That’s why we are here—members of this Democratic Party committed to equal rights and dignity for all. What we do here echoes around the world.

They’ll say this is how it’s always been, that nothing can change. But remember Fannie Lou Hamer—shunned for her courage, yet she paved the way for an integrated Democratic Party. Her legacy lives on, and it’s her example we follow.

But we can’t do it alone. This historic moment is full of promise, but only if we stand together. Our party’s greatest strength has always been our ability to unite. Some see that as a weakness, but it’s time we flex that strength.

Let’s commit to each other, to electing Vice President Harris and defeating Donald Trump who uses my identity as a Palestinian as a slur. Let’s fight for the policies long overdue—from restoring access to abortions to ensuring a living wage, to demanding an end to reckless war and a ceasefire in Gaza. To those who doubt us, to the cynics and the naysayers, I say, yes we can—yes we can be a Democratic Party that prioritizes funding our schools and hospitals, not for endless wars. That fights for an America that belongs to all of us—Black, brown, and white, Jews and Palestinians, all of us, like my grandfather taught me, together.

I know this is a passionate point for you.
Too risky, nothing good will come from it. Particularly if they go off script. This vote already knows Kamala is the only option.

I was against it myself, then read the speech, and if that was exactly what was given, that made me still a coin flip on it.

When I saw the hostage parents yesterday I immediately thought that there should be some representation of Palestinians as well. I think it could go to shit quick and ruin the vibe if they pull some bull shit stunt during their time on stage.

I have no problem with it.

We are supposed to provide equal opportunity and freedom of expression.

A duly elected Democrat and not some goof off the street.
